Why do Americans not understand Socialism?
We don't have 'socialist' vs 'capitalist' in New Zealand. Everyone is little bit socialist. It just means that the public has power over the resources and the people cooperate in how the resources are distributed.

In the interwar period, many socialist parties and movements arose out of workers rights movements.

Believe it or not, America is already socialist. All the conversations I have about the free markets seem hypothetical, because America doesn't run on free markets.

Even more socialist than New Zealand in many ways, because there is more public expenditure.
