Children's day, actually celebrate the seasons changing like equinoxes and solstices, a vacation day where everyone gets a day off. EVERYONE! A family day where it's about being with ur family other than Thanksgiving or Christmas. A sleep day where everyone gets to sleep 3 extra hrs and stores n shit open 3 or 4 hrs later than normal.
Singles day a day where singles wear a color and go to singles events all over town and non single people can go to couples events.
Like all single people wear red and couples wear white.
I just feel that if they're gunna create a new holiday it should be something a lot of people would want and care about today. The slaves been freed happened forever ago and many people don't want reminders of the past around like the statues so why remember this stuff? It's not like people ACTUALLY celebrate mlk day and actually do something for that.
