I was told it’s independent living in a house with other women with kids. So I’m assuming there’s no rules or curfew?

Independent living means having the support and tools to live life on your own terms, even with disabilities, ageing, or health needs. It’s about maintaining autonomy in daily tasks (like cooking, personal care, or social activities) while accessing tailored services—such as NDIS support, home modifications, or assistive tech. At Care Assure, we empower individuals to thrive safely and confidently in their homes and communities.
When I was working in group homes, we used the term independent living to describe people who could handle basic life responsibilities like driving, bathing, cooking and cleaning on their own.
What is the context?
For women with kids facing homelessness but eventually getting our own apartment down the line, it’s a temporary thing and I was told it’s no staff there
It depends on where you're staying (the place may have it's own curfew or rules- like apartments), but essentially it's just like if you were renting a place of your own.
Ok thank you
