Should have posted more info. Apparently it was an old Tiktok vid of her “talking gibberish” and mouthing the n word. Not sure what that means, maybe it was her form of rapping. Most people d asked don’t feel it was objectively racists.
According to the gospel of woke. Having been accused of using a racial slur should get you canceled and your life destroyed. It doesn't matter when or how long ago, you are irredeemable. But the priests of woke will take your political affiliation and voting record into account and if you have been generally good for the religion. Also, if you have pandered a sufficient amount and heapped massive praise for wokeness on twitter, that will be considered as well. The main thing going against Billie is her race. The main thing she has going for her, is her reach. She can preach the gospel to millions of people. Because of that, they will probably give her a pass because they need her reach. I looked into it and she was mouthing the lyrics to a rap song by Tyler the Creator at 13-14. To cancel someone over singing rap music would cancel most high schoolers. If anything, I would expect people to be mad at Tyler, who actually wrote and sang the song. Also, this was an anti Asian slur, so Tyler wouldn’t get a “pass” for saying it. I really find circulating slurs in rap music to be counterintuitive and instead I just ignore that type of music. I personally don’t care for Eilish’s sound and emo vibes, so it doesn’t make a difference to me personally, but if I was a fan, I’d wait for more evidence before I stopped supporting her music.
It’s good that she apologized, but the woke left needs to pick their battles. She’s a kid. This girl doesn’t need to be canceled. We can’t expect teenagers to be perfect and kiss ass over every stupid mistake.

We need to STOP apologizing period. Only apologize when you no without a doubt you did something wrong. The acid test would be if your best friend or sibling told you (in the moment) you were being stupid. But QUIT prostrating to the woke left. They are never satisfied. Step 1: Find something someone said or did that could be interpreted negatively (say, the N-word, or maybe even being a member of an exclusive club that only allows in white people)
Step 2: Check who the person is to see if it's: A) someone you like (a leftist/democrat), or B) someone you don't like (any conservative)
Step 3: If the answer to 2 is "A" shrug your shoulders and come up with a reason why it doesn't matter and move on. If the answer to 2 is "B" gather the torch-bearing mob and go to town.
The part I really hate is that the wokesters pick and choose who gets cancelled. If they think she is one of them, no big deal. If it's not one of their people it's all about cancelling.

Why did she use racist slur in the first place? Although she is quite young, how long ago was it? The internet may last forever but people are going to have to accept that times change and people learn new things about the world. What was said back when is not necessarily reflective of where they are now.
