Well I’m against the death sentence -Capital Punishment, because it is literally the taking of a human life. I think abortion should be a private treatment like other cosmetic and non emergency treatments. I mean they don’t even perform ptosis surgeries unless it causes a medical problem - they don’t do it if it is solely cosmetic. Pregnancy occurs due to choice and people’s own behaviour so they are responsible to pay themselves.
I agree that we shouldn’t be paying for anyone’s abortion and they have a responsibility to pay for their own choices. Unless an abortion is required to save someone’s life or the pregnant woman is a victim of rape, abortions should be regarded as private treatments.

Exactly. I’m getting real fed up with liberals doing mental gymnastics by calling abortion “healthcare”.
I actually DO support tax payer funded contraceptives all the way up to plan B. I think that prevents bigger problems from happening. It’s exponentially cheaper than abortion procedures. I also support research into a contraceptive research and development. Let’s make unwanted pregnancies a thing of the past.
But again abortion isn’t “healthcare”. It isn’t when birth control. It’s murdering a baby fetus to avoid an inconvenience. I think both sides need to focus on preventing unwanted pregnancies from happening in the first place.
It’s simple. Make abortion expensive and not easily accessible (only when mother’s life is threatened) .. and women will start taking responsibility.

In most societies, one does not have a say in what is done with the money they pay in taxes. You are free to promote it's use for specific things yes, but not to withhold paying them because you know they'll be used for something you don't like. If that were possible, imagine the chaos it would cause in government. What if one year, a percentage of people decided they didn't want their taxes going towards the military, infrastructure/specific public works, or humanitarian/military/other aid abroad? That would destroy the budget, and have serious domestic and diplomatic implications.

Abortion is a personal choice. Taxes, regardless of how they're distributed, are assessed by whatever government you live under. If abortion is legal in your country and paid for by the government health care system, then a portion of your taxes will go for that procedure. Otherwise, the woman pays for the abortion.
