I am devastated and my deepest condolences go out to these people. I did cry even tho i didn't know any of them, this breaks my heart that this even happened and as an empath i say there wasn't proper care and empathy for these peoples safety and judge my opinion all you want but this definitely could've been prevented.

It's the least that could have happened. American building standards are less than third world standards in many cases. Most American houses are practically cardboard and mud. No wonder floods, tornado's and earthquakes rip them up.

I think it’s fuck up that Joe Biden's people blew it up as part of the war, but I’m sure his handlers are willing to do just about anything. The other day Biden was threatening the use of fighter planes and nuclear weapons on the American populous. He’s not exactly an honorable guy that loves America… I didn’t personally know anyone that lived in that condo and the condo association wasn’t a client of the family business so no skin off my back. The families should demand Biden and his people be held accountable for their crimes though. It’s a clear act of terrorism.

It was clear the building was in trouble but they didn't do anything or warn anyone because they only cared about money.

I thought it was common sense and something mandatory to always check and maintain buildings that are old or if not they can get in trouble im super confused so like now we have to worry about our building and possibly own house collapsing?

Like repairs after a while and what not. I thought they keep that under control, not ignore it.

Building owners and contractors have been known to bribe building inspectors. and those inspectors sometimes "overlook things" if they are bribed.

I'm more angry than sad tbh. In the 1980s (reportedly when those flats were built) we had the knowledge and technology to make buildings that would stand up on their own. Cost-cutting is a killer.

Exactly!! Something could've been done. Multiple things could've been done to save these people. Especially with advance technology. Like do they just not care? Or am i missing something? I feel like they didn't care to maintain it. Even telling people to evacuate for a while while they maintain, something:(

No California but i wouldn't live in Florida due to the weather conditions there and amount of water but I'll definitely visit it one day but stay in a condo? No forget that. I wouldn't feel safe in a high story building like that either😔

I could make a whole speech really venting my feelings honestly but hey not like the lazy workers would listen right? There was issues going on since 2018 and something shouldve been done!
