I remember talking to a Liberal/leftist once who had a racist themed ideology. I called her out on it. She claimed she couldn't be racist as her husband was Cuban. Yes, a Cuban of the higher social groups so he was more European and thus more "white" than the average Cuban. I almost died laughing. Do you think she admitted been racist when I pointed that out, nope.
I find many Liberals/leftist have that racist themed ideology. Look at I believe Australia last year where a bunch of dumb white leftist women were wearing hijabs to increase the a good impression for Muslims. The hijab happens to be a religious item, it's mentioned in the Qur'an, and it's offensive/demeaning for non Muslims to wear it. The Muslims may have thanked these women but were more than likely offended by their mere presence.
And this racist themed ideology is apparent in many leftist/Liberals in how they don't care to learn about the cultures or people they get all hot and bothered about. They oftentimes act as if others are inferior and can't stand up for themselves. This is examplifef a few years ago when a black lady essentially told the white people that were bitching on "her behalf" to shut down and fuck off...

Someone can literally say “I hate Hispanics, they’re ugly and I hope they all die” and they still will have the audacity to say “no I’m not racist” and people will still defend them and say it’s not racist. I’ve seen that before

Leftists call people racist anytime something is said that the leftists don't like and race is even tangentially involved. Therefore, "racist" has lost its meaning as an accurate descriptor of an attitude and it has just become part of their banal name calling. People don't admit to being a racist like they don't admit to being an "idiot" or "homophobe" or any of the left's other favorites names.
Probably because people have different views on what is racist and they don't want to be called racist so if anyone ever tells them what they said was racist, they will throw a tantrum on the subject because people don't like being associated with the word, even when their opinions are actually exactly what it is.
The problem is that there are people who make different comments against other races, like
Their colour
Their accent
Their stereotypes
Complain about there being too many immigrants, this is common in elderly people
So when different people say their opinions, they don't like to class their opinion as racist, because it doesn't go in line with the others. Also because a lot of people probably still try to compare their own words to historical racism and that somehow makes them feel like they are okay...
I'm not a perfect person, I admit it, but I am not racist, I will accept anyone until they give me a reason not to and even then I give them chances to earn my trust back. My level of trust and caution is not unique to a race of people, it is the same all across the board.I think the far right news has created a culture out of insisting that racism doesn't matter. Like, if someone is in the Klan that shouldn't matter because the thing that does matter is they promise to keep pot illegal or make abortions harder to access.
What this does, apart from the obvious, is heavily suggest that the far right news can't be racist. Thus anything they say is not racist. So when someone repeats it, you have a whole tangled false narrative you'd have to walk them out of before you would be able to explain how it's racist. And no one has time for that (which is why they do it that way)Dude do you not see what ridiculous claims now qualify as racist? I don’t support BLM because they’ve caused 2 billion in infrastructure damage, several dozen deaths, demand equity over equality, increased the crime rate as a result of defunding the police, caused massive division, funded the Democratic Party via donations, and are against the nuclear family. Their leaders have also been facing legal action for taking donations and living in mansions instead of actually helping black lives. For this, I’ve been called a racist. Amy Coney Barret was called a white supremacist for having adopted two black children. An economist I follow was called a white supremacist for saying that Trumps corporate tax rates had positive expansionary effect on the economy. People are getting let go from their jobs because they post AllLivesMatter and PoliceLivesMatter. It’s absurd and entirely irrational. People are getting sick of the race baiting.
No one admits that there are racists because it like committing suicide socially. Admitting you´ve made a racist comment/ something racist costs so much that no one ever will admit doing so if it isn´t already in court.
No one wants to be racists with a racists, no one wants to have a racist co-worker.
Because modern culture greets you with hate and death wishes every person with a clear mind (meaning he/she isn´t high/drunk/manipulated in his/her mind) will never admit that because no one wants to be hated or wished death.
"They could be fired from their jobs and cancelled but they still won’t admit to being racist,..."
But if they admitted that they´ve been racists they would be fired and cancelled even worse, so there´s no benefit of admitting it.
Are that naive?Perhaps because some of them are just wannabe racists/haters and actually aren't, but keep trying, like many on this site.
Or just trolling on purpose looking for who to trigger... also like many on this site.
Some are just politicians, if they admit to being racist in this day and age it might be the end of their careers, so they keep it on the down low while inflicting pain through racist policies. (Drug war, crime bill etc)
Some probably don't even know that something they did can actually be perceived as racist... which raises another question... then are they actually racist if they don't know that what they did or said appears as racism? (Intent)
There's probably so many other reasons. The definition of racism is decided by others, not themselves.
I say there is two types of racists, the kind who are proud and admit to it... those are the true ones. They won't care what society says is good or bad.
Then there is the kind that aren't actively racist, they do not go out of their way to say or do stuff, but others still consider them racist.
100% of people in the USA are racist, based on the modern day standards. Black people are racist to whites, whites to natives, natives to latino's, latino's to Asian's and so forth... my point is when you have a all encompassing standard everyone will fit into it.
There is only one race the human race, but when liberals are saying the highway system itself is racist, I just have to laugh and think what will they find next that is racist? When merely building roads and the roads themselves are racist.People make mistakes. The can say offensive things without meaning to or make a joke that falls flat.
People can also be way to sensitive or get off on calling other people out.
Lenny Bruce used to open his set with (paraphrasing), "are there any ni@@rs in the audience? Any Kikes out there?"
The crowd, mostly black and jewish (Bruce was a jew) went crazy with laughter because they new the rest of the hour would be brutal satire of racism and discrimination. He used his comedy to make political and social statements crying for equality.
He also used those words to diminish their power. Like black people do today by claiming the N word as their own.
Lenny Bruce was a trail blazer in comedy in the 60s a deeply involved in the civil rights movement.
So here is someone who on the surface said a terrible racist thing, but was fighting for equality.
Unfortunately today, someone would be offended and he would be cancelledBecause they're cowards and bullies. That's all racists are. They're hateful because of pointless prejudice. People are individuals, not stereotypes.
They do. Do you seriously think that the black Israelites hide their racism? The KKK? Neo Nazi's? The only people who don't admit to being racist are ironically the ones screaming that every one else is racist but them OR people who are not racist but being accused of it because they have an opinion that the left doesn't like (I've been accused of being a white nationalist despite the fact that what I was talking about had nothing to do with race nor did it have anything to do with nationalism).
The human brain has a way of categorizing certain groups of people (this is not only for race but gender, sexuality and even regional/socio economical differences). The mind has a way of taking “mental shortcuts”.
Anyway I would be a lot more open minded to re-examining my approaches if I didn’t see so much overt and very obvious racism from so called “oppressed”’groups of people. Just because their ancestors had it rough doesn’t give them an excuse to treat me like crap. One possibility and what happens very often is people are accused of being racist when they are actually not and then they have to be fired because of the negative stigma, even if they were not racist.
Very often the people who call others racist are just dumb / assholes wanting to stigmatize others because they don't like what they might have said, even if it wasn't racist.Probably because people have an overwhelming desire to feel like they are good people. So they have to rationalize the world in a way that it works. Even if that means living in complete denial
Now merely teaching History of racism in america is racist. Because white people can't feel proud of a racist countryNo matter what you do, someone on the planet always will be offended.
Some consider it racist, when you consider someones race.
Some consider it racist, when you don't.
Its just how it is, people are different and you cannot make them all happy. Some people will always hate you, no matter what you do, so I just don't care anymore.Because they lack the necessary self-knowledge to do that. In their eyes, they aren't doing anything wrong. They've been indoctrinated to hatred, intolerance and bigotry, since they were little, so it's really hard to change a well-established set of ideas
If we are going to have a sensible discussion about it, being a racist is nothing to be proud of.
Answer me this. How can you hate a person before you have ever even spoken two words to them?maybe because they just are not racist? ever thought of that? just cause someone believes in stereotypes, they aren't racist.
and just cause some leftards frame certain things as racist, doesn't mean i have to agree with that and take their bullshit labels. the word "racist" is used for so ridiculous bullshit these days, that it is a huge insult to people who were victims of "actual" racists...Race obsessed people like you need to admit your racism. Seeing people as simply members of a group is dehumanizing and perpetuates hate. It's evil.
They lack the courage of their convictions, they are spineless. Most racists are though.
Denial, denial, denial.
People want to pretend they are better than they actually act.
Trying to talk peaceably to some people is like banging your head against a brick wall. They waste so much time and others' emotional energy.
