We just weren’t racist. That’s the normal state of things unless you are raised by racist parents. It not even something we had to talk about. In the White community 5% see their race as extremely important (race extremists). That’s the group that potentially have somewhat racist parents. In contrast 52% of the Black community think race is extremely important (race extremists). Those are the ones that likely have racist parents. Thus why the BLM a racist hate group has so much support in the Black community. An additional 22% of the Black community view race as very important. For Hispanics it’s 31% and for Asians it’s 27%. So Being a White guy from a primarily White neighborhood 95% of the people around me didn’t have racist parents. We were just raised normal. No one cared.

Unfortunately, my parents are ignorant of many statistics and much data as they had already solidified their opinions about such things 1. Because this data wasn't easily available or the studies were conducted late in their life and 2. Because they've been alive during the entire 'racism is the worst thing ever' fad that plagues out society to this day. They taught their children that being racist is bad but it is looking more likely that I will end up teaching them about how you have to basically be racist in order to be logical in the area of race.
We never really cared about race. I was introduced to racism when a black girl in college told me how much she hated white people and that I was the only one she liked. Then it was some Asian students who I though were friends who told me I couldn't go out with them because whites weren't welcome at the event.
It woke me up to how openly racist many non-white people are.
I didn't need my parents to teach me that racism is bad. I've learned that when I was 5 in the worst way possible.

I guess a. Dad was much more prejudiced than mom but all of her family was, too. I started out that way EVER SO SLIGHTLY because I just thought it was normal but, by the time I was in my teens, I began to question, reason and think for myself!
Now, the only thing I have against blacks is some of the stupid, ignorant things they do!! Sure, there's whites and others that do it, too, but nowhere NEAR as much as blacks do! Like Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman and other blacks have said, it all comes down to PARENTING!! You only get out what you put in!!I was told not to hang around with the natives.
So my best friend all through school was a native guy.
Then I was told not to bring home a native girl. When she came out of my room in the morning my parents just said "Hello." 😅
I cured them of racism. We didn’t really cover the topic of racism too much, but it was enough that we were aware. I am white and grew up surrounded by other white people. My parents made sure that we recognized our privileges and that we knew what was happening in the world outside of our home.
I was taught to treat people with kindness.
Race didn't matter when I was growing up as a kid and I grew up in a predominantly white small town.I was just taught to be kind to people in general, regardless of skin color. Because people are people. I was never told anything like "be nice to that black kid, or else you'll be in big trouble!".
They never taught me anything in either direction but I have friends from all over the world so I'm doing fine enough to bypass the biased MSM for the news I don't know in-depth
They tried to teach me racism was bad. You know how kids are tho so I learned more fr from friends later.
No need to teach anything, they are just regular decent people.
My parents taught me to respect other people. Whether they are of a different color or culture or religion from mine as long as they do not prove aggressive towards me.
My parents were bleeding-heart liberals. They were the kind of white folks who think that POC needs white support and validation.
That's a form of racism by the way.Treat people how you like to be treated race or religion doesn't matter we are all human. That's way I was thought
..
Nothing other than... all people are people to be nice to and respect (I guess).
