Did watching this video sadden anybody else? Should these jackasses be fired on the spot?

I’m not somebody who hates Police officers but this arrest was just plain wrong.

The guy offered to prove his innocence several times to them but they didn’t seem to care. It was all about just getting the man in jail to them.

He really didn’t do anything to deserve the treatment he received.

That could’ve very easily been my own father. Just buying a bike for me when I was little. This was just plain wrong.

The video doesn't show the whole story, but enough clues can be pieced together to make some reasonable assumptions.
We don't know why the police were summoned in the first place.
There is no way to tell from this video what the situation was all about, but it can be assumed that there is clearly more going on than the video shows.
The number one reason for my assumption is that the subject doth protest too much.
It appears that he is trying to use what may be a small truth to try to take attention away from the true infraction for which he is being detained.
Reason number two for my assumption is that no one has any interest in what he is proclaiming to be his vindicating evidence.
I see no store personnel in the scene that want to be anywhere near him, or hear anything he has to say.
If it was merely a case of a mistaken accusation from someone in the store that he had stolen something, which the subject is very loudly from the beginning of the video trying to claim is the case, common sense tells me that the store manager could and would have quickly and quietly cleared the situation up, the man would have gone on his way, and the police would not be on the scene.
The circumstance of no one being interested in listening to his claims could be seen to have different meaning depending on the viewer's point of view.
One person might say that he is being thrown to the "lions" by all the evil, uncaring people who are in the area.
The view I have, which again, is only an assumption, is that the subject was most likely causing some sort of disturbance in the store that had nothing to do with him saying that he has a receipt.
After reviewing the video a second time, I can hear someone, probably a bystander, at 10:45, say that he had been arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
That clears our murky waters to some extent.
The situation may have begun with the subject displaying some sort of disorderly conduct in the store, the police were summoned, and the subject refused to submit.
The video does show enough that I can see that the officers are merely carrying out their duty.
The subject was not complying with the officer's commands.
When an officer of the law orders you to comply with their commands, it is my understanding that the law states that you are required to follow that order.
I learned that in Kindergarten.
If you don't calmly comply, you've then committed the crime of non-compliance, and will be held accountable for that crime, regardless of whatever other circumstances are in play. Hence, the charge of resisting arrest.
The only exception that I can see to being required to comply with an officer's command is if the subject was in imminent physical danger from a source which the officer was not aware of at the time of their command. It would be the subject's duty to call the officer's attention to that danger while, or very quickly after, the subject evades said danger.
The subject may or may not have been telling the truth in stating that he had a receipt, and had paid for whatever items he was talking about. I tend to believe that is the truth.
But, was he telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?
That's not for us video viewers to decide.
But, based on what I can see in the video, regardless of whatever else transpired before the video started, the officers were merely carrying out their duty, dealing as they must with a non-compliant, deranged individual.

There is a systemic racial problem in this country. This is the very reason that we have demanded police have body cameras on whenever they confront a perpetrator.
