President Trump did not say that they needed to be executed. He was just giving them some information about what the penalty for sedition was.

He could read between the lines of what they said on the video. He is seeing if they can read between the lines as well.

@exitseven The penalty for sedition is not death. In fact, it's not even a crime in the US. Seditious conspiracy is, and several Jan 6 defendants were convicted of it.

It is a fact that it's the duty of military members to disobey illegal orders. Stating facts about the law is not seditious, but complaining about it shows that Trump wants to issue illegal orders and have them obeyed.
