Most murders of women are perpetrated by their male partners. And they don't have to be good looking for that to be at a higher rate.
But what is shown on the news... yes I think anyone who has a lower chance of criminality, demographically or specifically, will tend to be shown more, and painted more as a victim. I don't think that is only about race (it must be, to some extent.) It's really the randomness of violence that people respond very strongly to. If you can't predict when something bad will happen, and it appears to have happened by no fault of their own whatsoever, those are the things which will get airtime because it's seen as a legitimate public safety issue. There's a fact in philosophy (or whatever discipline one should assign it) - people would rather assign something illogical, or unproven, unfounded, as the 'reason' for something bad happening, than to have to live with the complete randomness, unknowedness, of it. That's how powerful fear and uncertainty are.
Some will say that it's also because certain people are seen to be of higher value than others. I don't dispute that. But sometimes that is true - such as in the case of when a gang member is shot dead. Does anyone really care? The person's family members and friends and fellow gang members do, but other than that, the public sees it as one less low life criminal off the streets, who will no longer be selling drugs to kids, stealing cars, and everything else.
The media will paint a picture, with every incident. But ultimately it's the public's appetite for the story that either feeds it, or lets it die.
I personally don't watch any of that stuff. I'm not interested in how people died, or why, unless it was someone I knew, or a beloved person in society, such as Anthony Bourdain. There's a documentary coming out about him, to movie threatres very soon. I won't go to a theatre to watch it, as I'm sure I'll be crying and won't be able to hold it in. But it won't be because he's white. It'll be because I think he was a great, deep, soulful man, and he is greatly missed.
Statistically (according to data in the UK about violence/rape cases by race/ethnicity)
While there were 52,210 rapes recorded by police in England and Wales in 2020, only 843 resulted in a charge or a summons – a rate of 1.6%.
I believe since the Conservative party has a lot of power in Englands politics/government it is unfortunately failing women when it comes to rape, SA, and overall violence.

According to research it's known as the Marilyn Monroe effect.
Women who are blonde and have what society views as good looks are viewed as fun "easy," and sexually appealing. However they are not viewed as being as intelligent as brunettes. According to a separate study brunettes are viewed as more intelligent than blondes.
So, when these "guys" meet a girl who they view as "easy," fun, and not very intelligent and she is the exact opposite of that view it creates a psychological break. That break causes frustration as to why she is not meeting the view she is "supposed" to have. That leads to the violence you are speaking of. There are, of course, other outcomes as well such as bad breakups.
I'm not justifying the actions or saying this is a defense. I'm also not saying that this leads to more blondes coming under violent attacks than women with different colored hair. As far as I know there hasn't been a study of violent attacks and hair color.
I can only speak on the research I have read and come across in my field.

Reporting bias. People instinctively care more about women than men, they care more about young people than old, and they care more about attractive people than unattractive. And western culture cares more about white people than others. Add that up and bad things happening to attractive young white women will make the front page.
The suicide rate in the United States is 4x higher for men than women (and 3x higher in the UK).
The homicide rate in the US is 3.5x higher for men than women (~3x higher in the UK).
Don't trust the media to give you an accurate representation of what's actually happening. They're reporting on whatever gets the most views.
Well an actress got gangraped in my country. It was all over the news receiving widespread attention , how it happened, who was the perpetrators, such stuff. I asked my mom why the media was giving this too much focus when rape cases happen often. I felt it was all because she's a bigshot actress and other girl's lives were less important. What my mom said was that if such rapists have the courage to rape someone famous like her, then they probably don't even think twice about raping average ones.
The same logic can be applied here as in the media probably emphasizes only those cases
Most murders of women are committed by their former lovers out of jealousy , resentment. A lot of young women love the thrill of dating bad dudes , breaking laws. Eventually they get tied of this , become mature and leave the former guy. But their past still haunts them. Pretty girls generally have this kind of tendency more.
I think it probably happens indiscriminately but we only hear about white women
