No, I’m not attracted to serial killers or rapists. Most often, I find them creepy and rightfully so. I merely enjoy reading about them because it is fascinating. I don’t think I’m alone in this.. I believe many people find this fascinating because it’s not everyday that someone goes on a killing spree and kills hundreds of people without any cause, right?

What goes on inside the mind of a killer? Why did he kill those innocent people? What caused this? Childhood trauma? Head injury? These are some questions I like to ponder. I’ve always been interested in true crime since I was a young girl. Many people who are interested in subjects like this want to understand the complex minds of those killers. I’ve watched tons of interviews of Ted Bundy, Richard Ramirez etc; and did shit load of research on their cases.

It was something I did for a hobby, and not many people knew about it, except my family and very close friends. My mother freaked out because I wouldn’t stop watching true crime documentaries and reading up on psychology stuff related to this.

I don't know but I tend to find those stories very fascinating as a guy. Mostly I want to understand the mind of a serial killer, for example.

It might be the case that more women are interested in these subjects but perhaps in part just because a larger distribution of women tend to be interested in people over things. Women tend to far outnumber men in terms of psychology majors, for example.
