No, it does not. See, this is the problem with people like you - you have these hyper-triggered kneejerk reactions over things without even bothering to learn they're meaning. Let me school you on this:

First of all, ALL WORDS are made up. They don't grow on trees. We invent them. Second, the words "cis" and "trans" are Latin prefixes, meaning "on this side of" and "across from". Latin - that means these words have existed for literally THOUSANDS of years. Yeah, totally "fake".
We've been using these prefixes forever, for all sorts of things. In chemistry for instance. And countless other things. Because they are PREFIXES. That's what they're for. To add to other words to indicate a certain state or feature. That's how prefixes work. There's nothing new about it.
