The liberal have no problem burning the American flag.
How would they react if there was a national gay flag burning day?
They should react like everyone else that is in their right mind. They should report a dangerous group of people to the police, and not give a shit about the flag. Flags are a stupid symbol. The values they stand for are the important part. And anyone burning a flag should be categorized as a highly suspicious, usually violent person. But the act itself, holy fuck, so what? Let them vent their anger, and afterwards try to find out why they are discontent with the group, the flag represented.

She's a bad teacher. It's ok for her to have her own views on the world but it's not ok to push them on her pupils. She's paid by the state to teach them set material and by implication ready them for inclusion to adult society. It's a disservice.

For pride month our company flew the company flag, pride flag, and US flag.
It's just a better idea to fly the state, pride, and US in the classroom and not cause anyone to be uncomfortable.

If you were to see students doing this in North Korea you would see how awful it is but you are too close to see that it is equally disturbing in your own country.
No student can be compelled to recite the pledge of allegiance.
@Bluemax While it maybe true to say that students are not forced, they are certainly under considerable pressure to do so, you could hardly claim that this was a completely free choice without elements of cohersion.

If you hate the flag and what it represents, understand this many of a soldier and patriots stood holding that flag up on a pole in 1812, while the British blew them up all night. Untold numbers died to keep that flag up as the British commander said he would give up if he couldn't take out Fort William Henry. And since then so many have died, to give such rights as to be gay, be anything really. And to say they are not comfortable, and would rather mock it with a joke of a Pride Flag? Seriously?
