They’re young and don’t know better but you’d think cis liberals and adult trans people would know better but instead of telling them “You’re different and you have to consider how that effects things” y’all are literally just “You transitioned 2 weeks ago? We've got dozens of other more prominent matters to deal with as a society dealing with trans rights well before we deal with anything sports related.

I think #1 part of trans rights should be acknowledged of the existence of transsexuals. We are as of today pretty piss poor at that. Getting into the details of sports is probably in the #60's for transsexual of importantthings to do. so why are Republicans even talking about it?

They know they lost the gay marriage, they are now dragging as dead weight on trans rights to slow it because they know they are losers. I going to be so bold and say some may even catfish pretending to be transsexual people online and push republican ideas as transsexuals even though it makes zero sense because Republicans hate trans people.

The whole idea is insane, and I say this as someone who knows almost nothing about sport, doesn't really care about it, but who nevertheless realises and understands that pitting men against women in a competition will clearly be unfair due to the immutable biological differences that exist between the two genders.
I've noticed that those people (let's call them 'Democrats' for the sake of convenience) like to waffle on about "women's rights" when it suits their purposes, but at the first sign of conflict with whatever agenda they may happen to have arises, will forget all about women. Notice how we are hearing absolute silence from them about the current plight of women in Afghanistan under the Taliban. They just don't seem to care, and that's because they DON'T actually care. They pretend to care.
The truth is I can't stand either side of politics, because the right (let's call them 'Republicans' for the sake of convenience) are just as loony, but in a different way.

I have transgender friends and none of them think it is fair for MTF transgender to compete against women in professional sports, especially in western countries where the size difference between biological men and women is even greater than it is between Asian men and women. Trans in the west generally begin their hormone treatments much later in life than those in Asian countries as well. Imagine in boxing if the lightweight or middleweight champ had to fight the heavyweight champ to keep his title? Boxing and wrestling for men is divided by weight class. Should a muscular, 200 pound trans compete against a 95 pound woman? It doesn't make any sense to me.

Priority. What you were born is what you unless you were born with extras in which you must decide what is the overall best course of action for you not no one else. So if you were born a female but identify as male your complete body structure attitude, drive, strength etc plays a major role in overall calculations to render an answer.

There's already standards in place for how much someone's body needs to have transitioned to the opposite sex in order to compete. With full hormone replacement, and especially after genital surgery, a trans woman's body's muscle and fat composition will be essentially identical to a born woman. Most official sports competitions require this level of transition before being able to compete. And on top of this, records have shown that trans athletes *in either direction* often do not perform as well relative to their new competition.

You would have to transition a man into a woman before puberty because then otherwise puberty is going to give the man advantages you can never take away (higher bone density, etc).

@Juxtapose Bone density isn't nearly as big a difference maker as you may think, especially considering the high risk of osteoporosis after transitioning. The only irreversible thing that makes a real difference is height.

Math, science, reading and writing should only be taught in Chinese schools. In America those subjects are racist and shouldn't be taught.
In China, only women are allowed in women's sports, but in America, it's better for men to be in women's sports.

I don't know. Current studies show 2 years of chem treatments puts trans on the same levels as cis. But then again, rich kids have an advantage over poor athletes. So what’s the difference?
