The only thing that surprises me is that India has a bigger army than the US.

Of course that’s only talking about military size but when it comes to military might the order is different.

India has the second largest population on the planet, and it's quite focused on it's military because of issues like their constant problems with Pakistan (a country completely centered on it's military) this is the main reason, I'm not surprised by that

But as for America, the US army had to pull out due to poor political decisions at home. Not because the enemy was too tough. If America were truly ruthless then they could have easily gone Waffen SS in Afghanistan but that wouldn’t have looked good at all since America is a Democratic nation not a totalitarian regime.

As an Asian I know these country have high military force. I have heard that North Korea have many strong nuclear ideas and in South Korea it is compulsory for all men to serve army for a certain period. In India it is like family type job like if father was the army man then son should be that too.

China has the largest military if you go by personnel, however the US has the highest military budget in the world. $686.1 billion a year. You know, instead of it going to healthcare, schools, roads, clean water, infrastructure, financial aid, medical research, etc.
