Which nation is the most successful in the military field?

What determines what makes a military successful? Amount of boots at the ready? Quantity of weapons? The capacity of damage a military is capable of? All of these are major factors in which makes a military capable and potentially successful. But an often overlooked asset is strategy. Take Genghis Khan for example. His army was smaller than most of those he has fought and yet he dominated them. Not only that, he terrified them. The enemy didn't know how many soldiers he had or where these Mongols would be coming from. In one instance his soldiers would take the practice of herding sheep and use it to circle the enemy and leave an intentional opening only to pick off any of them who attempted to run through it. And they always did.

If the army was bigger than theirs, they would run and run until the enemy was worn out and didn't have the resources or energy to fight. And finally when the Mongol warriors seemed to reach their end, the enemy was met with a mass of archers that would finish them off since they had no energy to fight.

The USA has muscle. But nobody is better at The Art of War than China. Underestimating your enemy will be the first and last mistake we make. They have been playing the long game while we screech at people who don't address our pronouns correctly. China wouldn't have to lift a finger to cripple the US. Our sustainability is interwoven with China and I fear we are already feeling the slow grip of it. Where is all of our stuff made? Who funds a large portion of universities? Who are we in dept to? Who did John Cena? What's the difference between Tiktok in the US vs China? Who are you being told is your enemy? Russia Russia Russia. Who recently bought 60% of the worlds grain?

Consider everything you have witnessed in the past three years and ask yourself who benefits the most.

I define success as the greatest of the population's well-being in return for the least investment of unpleasant labor AND the longest period of non-injurious interaction with neighboring country's militarism~

So far, it would seem that the Danish countries have come closest to achieving this paradigm; not 'perfect' but far closer than most others wrapt in their own hereditary nationalism. The Swiss's neutrality seems bound in their fiscal stability shepherding the World's material valuables~

Everyone is just peacocking today, you can't actually be successful because as soon as you bully a country most other countries will turn on you. In that sense Afghanistan has been very successful in keeping countries out with very little military power. Every country going into that pit has lost. Because you can't win someone over with force. It's always temporarily.

In the 18th centery England, 19th France with Napoleon, but the British won out... in the 20th century you can argue that it was Germany because they came so close twice, but in the end its was the United States and the Western Anglo Alliance. (British, Australia, New Zealand, British and Canadains)

It depends on what you think is success. The USA has the most technologically advanced military and could probably obliterate any country it wants to. China now has the largest Navy and could be a formidable enemy. Russia is a nuclear power and could cause plenty of damage. North Korea spends more per capita on it's military.

But in my opinion it is our politicians pulling the strings and not letting them use their skills and equipment. That holds them back,

Iraq , Japan , N. Korea , Vietnam (those people are fierce) and Germany they inspire deep loyalty and dedication in their countrymen they will happily and vigorously protect their home I wish more Americans were like this except for the Vietnamese they’re just fearless

Most succesfull nations on military fields are Vietnam, it defeated France, and latley USA and China. Also it is necessary to consider Israel, it won six wars and a tie.

If you define success by who wins, it's not the US. Just look at Vietnam, Korea and the Gulf wars. Not a single win. Maybe the Civil War counts as 1 win and 1 loss since they fought themselves.

If they can do that without actually fighting at all, then so much the better (hence the term "nuclear deterrent").
