This was some scary stuff and I'm very thankful that both deputies are suspected to survive. I despise evil monsters like the man who attacked them and I'd be lying if I said I don't smile when I see them take the dirt temperature challenge and their reign of terror comes to an end.

This is an example of why I respect law enforcement like I do, their job is very dangerous and involves regular confrontations with the worst among us, all while calls for their death grow louder among the left. Many call them cowards, but they regularly prove that they are the bravest people among us as they regularly run towards gunfire while everyone else is running away to save people who's names they don't even know.

Also very thankfully, the 2 month old baby in the car as well as the two passengers are unharmed, I hope that everyone in this harrowing incident is able to recover mentally from such a terrifying incident such as this.

I've been in several gun battles before I even joined the military. I grew up in Memphis and was armed even as a kid due to how dangerous the gangs in my neighborhood were. Mom made sure I knew how to shoot when I was 5 so gun safety was drilled into my head. My first time in a gun battle was when I was 9 and someone tried to rob my mom. They ignored me, thinking a kid would not be a threat. I got off two shots before the asshole shot at me. He grazed my arm while I got two good hits on him at center mass. Thankfully my first kill was not until I was in the military.

The aim would not be to survive. Rather, it would be to kill the enemy. Killing the enemy allows for your own survival.
It comes down to training, the situation and the weapons.

It depends of course. I'd hope to survive. It's a life or death situation so you better belive im doing anything in my power to stay alive and keep the people around me safe. I did JROTC back in highschool, was on the rifle team. I know about gun saftey and how to handle them. I'd say my chances of surving are higher than those who have never handled a gun. Still even if you have experience, you could get hurt or die.

Did you see how many felony convictions he had? That judge has to go, they can't just be like "oh okay what do we have, 23 felony arrests, 17 misdemeanor arrests including first degrew attempted felony murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery, resisting arrest with violence, battery on LEO, drug trafficking, meh, what could go wrong? I mean, they let the guy bond out, that's the only explanation for him being out there as a 38 year old with all of those convictions. The perpetrator died in this shooting though
