Why do stupid Americans from Texas think that the profit margin on junk food in a drive through helps the economy?

Why do idiot American morons from the stupid South think that the revenue on drive through chains selling junk food helps the economy?

I'm in Texas and people think that building a drive through chain and expanding your drive through chain, and selling deep fried junk, is good for the economy. And they think the more junk food drive thrus there are in their area, the better their area is doing economically.
