Why do idiot American morons from the stupid South think that the revenue on drive through chains selling junk food helps the economy?

I'm in Texas and people think that building a drive through chain and expanding your drive through chain, and selling deep fried junk, is good for the economy. And they think the more junk food drive thrus there are in their area, the better their area is doing economically.

Any business that generates profits and employs people helps the economy. just because everything on the menu is not healthy it still contributes. You could make the same argument about liquor stores or places that sell lottery tickets.

Are you aware of other wealthy first world countries where the consumption of junk food is not so prevalent? Like Portugal? Or Iceland? Or do you only know the USA? Even in New Zealand, where there is a big fast food culture, it is not as sever as the USA

I am born and raised her. I know junk food is not healthy and do not eat it very much. They talk about life expectancies. I am making mu own life expectancy. I have a healthy diet, workout regularly, have a yearly physical, do not consume alcohol or illegal drugs or smoke anything.
I do not text and drive and I always wear my seatbelt.
