I found your opinion interesting, I have a question though, how would you restart the entire thing?
@allaboutyou2 humans evolving into a new species? I'm not really sure. Like, I don't think there is an ethical way to do so. The first thing that comes to my mind is erasing everyone's memories and starting over, but that's not really okay, nor practical, nor realistic. So, maybe some day if we were to get blown up like the dinosaurs, a human species smarter than us could start over. That's what I'm thinking.
Why do you think that current humans aren't smart?
@allaboutyou2 I don't think we're not smart. Quite frankly, I believe that we're very intelligent and have the ability to create so many things to fix so many issues, but we don't because they won't benefit big corporations or world leaders, cause we are greedy. By more intelligent species, I meant humans which won't care about money and be hungry for power, who won't care if someone is black or white or pink, purple, whatever color there is or how someone looks like, but who will focus more on making the world they live in a better place for everyone. It does sound very much like a utopia, because it is, which again is why I don't think our society and humans as they are now are not capable of such thing.
I try to make the world a better place every day, so do many other people, I think the solution is to change our leaders, if we replaced them with people who actually cared for the people they are supposed to serve more than power and money, we could have a better world.
@allaboutyou2 I support that, but sadly, not everyone is like you and a lot of people just don't give a damn. Replacing world leaders is a good choice, but you'll always have opposition and radical politicians on the other side that may stop the society from progressing towards a better future and such.
I agree, selfish people will always be around. All we can do as individuals is make sure the area of the world that we can influence is made a better place by ourselves.
Oh and also all those “mental illnesses” and “trauma” younger generations are claiming to have. What’s the disease is individualism and believing that going through pain is what makes us unique and valuable because it brings us attention. And we’ve been shown through media that when we know someone has been through something difficult we put them up on a pedestal for overcoming it. So now we just have a bunch of people exaggerating any negative thing in their life and making into some sort of hero story that they’ve overcome yet now they have so much “mental trauma.” I know so many people who base their entire personalities off their “mental illnesses” that really don’t even exist. They just want attention and to feel special and rewarded by others for being strong having been through “so much.” Being edgy and emo makes you unique because happiness means you’ve had it easy and it’s almost become scary to just be happy for these people because then where’s the attention? The validation? The drama? What’s left of THEIR life?

we have entered the decadence phase. words don't matter and nothing can fix our institutions... except a return to barbarism
I agree mostly except I’m so tired of self expression. Maybe it’s who I’m around more but everyone is always trying to express themselves and be unique and they’re all the same.
They think they’re all so important and they’re all the main character blah blah blah blah blahhhh
@paradiseonearth93 Self expression is about being able to reveal the emotional experience you are having, being real about how you feel, not supressing your emotions. All of those other people you're talking about are being pretentious - they are trying to project an imagine that they think other people will like. That's the difference between being genuine and being a phony. Gotta connect with real pppl not all these hoes who be frontin'
There’s so many hoes frontin, I’m so tired lmao
@paradiseonearth93 It's tru, lot's of hoes be frontin. Gotta make some better friends! Do you really believe in paradise on earth? It's been such a tough past few years. How can we get to the paradise. I need that shit bae.
Thanks so much for your kind comment. I must tell you it is very flattering to find yourself quoted by others. I hope this finds you well.
@AmandaYVR Yes, people are to sensitive and offended very easily about any little thing Or they are always trying to shove their beliefs on other people and the entire world.
@disgustingweebtrash Is that the term?
*With a global...*
..*it really gave me...
It’s the stupidest thing
peopel forget that politicians and media aren't our friends. they are a tumor that we need to survive but if we let it get out of hand, it'll kill us.
@disgustingweebtrash make no mistake I listen to you. More so because I was a lot more like you at some point.
Alllll the time. Everyone is so wrapped up in their internal dialogue
@disgustingweebtrash Hey you get off my thread! LOL
@disgustingweebtrash Last warning. Get off my thread. Use your own.
Social media causes globalism therefore globalism is the root of all evil it all goes back to globalism
@disgustingweebtrash Thanks for the free block.
@disgustingweebtrash you aren't helping your own cause here. you're just shouting into the void. yes globalism is bad but you aren't making good arguments that will reach people
You are absolutely correct
@SaoirseS you are correct
@disgustingweebtrash People volunteered for that when they chose to buy cheaper goods manufactured abroad.
Damn those lawyers (especially the one who broke my heart)
I'm trying to go back to the 1900s. We disagree on that one.
@PoliteSpeaker Your pfp basically contradicts that statement
I'm not trying to go back the 1900s*
I think you understood what I wrote regardless of the typo? Anyway what does my pfp have to do with me not wanting to go back?
@PoliteSpeaker It's your typo mistake.
No. We are swinging to the other side and soon we will meet in the middle and balance out. And society will still be shit. 97% of the pop will still be average losers.
Without capitalism there is no freedom to enjoy. Capitalism isn't a modern concept but the driving force of development.
Ah yes we didn't enjoy our lives before selling our soul to a megacorp
@allaboutyou2 that was true in the past, the times have changed. There’s nothing free about the fact that today Americans are the most overworked developed nation in the world. The U. S. is the ONLY country in the Americas without a national paid parental leave benefit. The average is over 12 weeks of paid leave anywhere other than Europe and over 20 weeks in Europe.At least 134 countries have laws setting the maximum length of the work week; the U. S. does notAmericans work 137 more hours per year than Japanese workers, 260 more hours per year than British workers, and 499 more hours per year than French workersWhat is free about that exactly?
We are free to decide whom we work for, the while concept of capitalism is if we aren't happy with our employers conditions we are free to leave and work for another employer whose conditions we approve of. Absolute freedom.
Technically no, if we don’t like the conditions at your workplace than the only other option is to be homeless. Getting a new job is not that simple, it’s also not a viable option for most people.Capitalism also isn’t the only economic system that allows that so it’s not like it’s unique. Capitalism offers people the illusion of choice, the illusion of freedom.There is no federal laws requiring paid sick days in the United States.Using data by the U. S. BLS, the average productivity per American worker has increased 400% since 1950. One way to look at that is that it should only take one-quarter the work hours, or 11 hours per week, to afford the same standard of living as a worker in 1950 (or our standard of living should be 4 times higher). Is that the case? Nope. Someone is profiting, it’s just not the average American worker. This isn’t freedom
I have had the freedom to change jobs to improve my situation multiple times. Being dictated to by a government is far from freedom. The government is to blame for spending our tax dollars on special interest groups that give the politicians a kick back. There is nothing wrong with capitalism, the problem comes when only certain people in power benefit from capitalism. The system is being manipulated by corrupt politicians.
nothing you just named is a problem with capitalism. you just want paid family leave. just say thatalso; don't compare america to other countries. those countries will fall apart soon enough BECAUSE of their lavish social spending
@007kingifrit countries in Europe that have implemented paid family leave are doing Way better than America. That’s an empirical factWhile America spends about 11 percent of its national income on social programs, France spends almost double that amount ; Nordic countries spend even more. Relative to GDP, Europeans spend more than five times what Americans do on unemployment insurance and other labor market programs. Not only do Europeans spend more on social programs, they also regulate more in attempt more or less successful to protect workers against business interests. The differences between the US and Europe and in particular those concerning social protection and welfare is their beliefs. 60 percent of Americans believe that the poor are lazy ; where as only 26 percent of Europeans share that view. Capitalism is failing, it worked in the past but it’s not working today. That much should be obvious to you if you’re working class in today’s world.
This is the result of the “innovation and efficiency” capitalism gives usthegrocerystoreguy.com/.../43 billion lbs of food, thrown away by grocery stores. www.businessinsider.com/fast-fashion-environmental-impact-pollution-emissions-waste-water-2019-10The fast fashion industry is responsible for 10% of our carbon emissions,85% of all textiles go to the dump each yearCapitalism is not the answer to innovation and advancements. It’s going to make us end up in a corporatocracy.
countries in Europe are not "doing way better" they are collapsing. their systems will not exist in 10 years. the birth rate in Europe is so low they won't have the tax money for most of these systems soonbut you know? im not against paid family leave. you want that? ask for it. don't screech about capitalismcapitalism isn't failing. the world is better than ever with a lower % of people in poverty than everyou want to help the working class? ban immigration
@doopayo I was born and grew up in Europe, I can tell you first hand it is way better here. That is why I choose to live here. Maybe those that think Europe is a better place to live should probably do what I did and move.
