America is addicted to the low prices on many things. It sucks paying more, I know, trust me. I feel it every day here, having been able to compare it for a long time. Canada doesn't manufacture nearly enough either. And America has a way bigger population and therefore buying power so I miss those low costs. But this is life.
I didn't know any pharmaceuticals are manufactured in China. Big pharma is setting the prices, I'm sure. I'm sick of wasting money on 'herbal' remedies from China via amazon, all claiming close to 5/5 ratings. It's all lies. Another disgusting industry.
Honestly, all this stuff enrages me. Add oil, and we've got more than a trifecta here.
But I want to be clear - I think Trump is the most despicable, disreputable, destructive human being, who divided America, and I loathe him with every fibre of my body. According to macroeconomics money has a multiplying effect. If something is made in this country, a job is created and that person will buy goods and services from other local businesses. It is estimated that that dollar earned by that person ends up generating four dollars for the economy. If the money just goes to China, that person does not have a job and there is no contribution to the local economy.
