Bat soup was where the latest ebola came from, for this one it's as george bush would say, a known unknown. We know what we don't know. Never been to a wet market in China, but one here in the US that was vietnamese and got cracked down on a year or two ago because of so many people getting sick from raw and cross contaminated products.

For a lot of countries and cultures that kind of unregulated food is the only way they'll survive, hell, I have a friend in Utah raising and selling goats for slaughter to latinos that can't afford other sources of protien. A whole goat is a lot of meat. One of my vietnamese friends I still bring all the ducks I shoot to before cleaning them for Tiết canh. Not only does he clean them and get more meat off them than I can, but that blood pudding is delicious.

Anywho, did you know there's a wasting disease in deer in north america? A prion infecting all of them, spreading fast, and not making the news, has been for decades now, infects every lab animal they've put it in, but state governments swear it doesn't infect people... nothing to do with hunting licenses.

the bats are innocent in the case and im pretty sure the poor things didn't want to be made into bat soup or killed in a cold lab. I will continue to stay a vegetarian.

I don't know anything of the kind. I haven't heard anything definitive yet. Bats, pangolins. It may have been developed in a lab and released either accidentally or deliberately. There was the Event 201 simulation. I even heard that some U. S. company had a patent on it before the outbreak occurred. Immunologists and other experts have differing opinions about it's dangers. I've even read about similar symptoms from 5G. There are all kinds of theories swirling around. One thing for sure, I won't believe government sources or mainstream media until I get corroboration.

Obviously the batmeat thing is a red-herring/coverup for what really happened.. but, evidently, they have now banned eating wild animals and cats in dogs in certain parts of China as part of the backlash. I was just talking about this on another forum.

My personal opinion is that some escaped wetmarket animals banned together and broke into a genetics lab in wuhan late at night to create the virus. They prolly got a monkey to work the controls, and a cat prolly came up with the idea, there was probably a dog involved, but I imagine the dog just stood there and drooled.

Then they started the rumor that the virus was spread by a bat, just because a bat makes a good scapegoat. bats get blamed for everything from bed bugs to vampirism; so it makes the rumor more believable.

Looks like the plan is working.

One thing I find cool about China is that their diet generally seems MUCH healthier than what we eat in the West. They eat lots of fresh vegetables and fish and meat, and lots of broths and soups. They just seem much closer to nature in that way, where most of what you can buy where I live is processed to hell and back.

I saw some. . . interesting things when I visited too, though. Will never forget I was at this buffet in a large fish restaurant, and this dude casually saunters by with a small brain on his plate. Apparently, it was from a pig.

It's not true. It most likely came from a pangolin which was sold at the market, as that can be seen in the structure of the virus itself. That pangolin was likely infected by a bat, but the myth of bat soup is not true.
