International GAGers: what are some positive things you think or can say about the US?

I know the US isn't the world's favorite country sometimes. But, what are some positive things that you admire or like about the US?

The core concept is great as is the constituion, but you just dont do it, you dont actually understand it or care about it, you just like to like it.

Sorry that isn't entirely positive but I think its really important.

You have a wide range of products available, e. g. you can goto a hardware store and buy pipe and fittings for it so that you can build your own thing.

In the uk you can't really do that, the only things the shops sell are the specific things you need to plumb a house and nothing else (and maybe they dont even sell that actually) so its harder to build something that isn't standard.

So what would be a specialist item in the UK is more likely to be commonly stocked in the US (At least this is the impression i get).

USA has wonderful creativity , innovation , free markets , business ideas are encouraged , big fan of some of the sport , fortunate to have been a few times , its a great place if you have money. Had I achieved exactly what Id done outside the USA , inside the USA ( and followed my same principles ) my net worth would be x 10 , because free enterprise is encouraged.

The only things I really despised on the ground , was the bullshit patriotic nonsense , just too far over the top , mandatory golf carts ( crazy shit ) and tipping , where you are not " paying it forward " you are supporting multi millionaire owners , who could give a rats arse how many staff they burned.

I also adore the Buffet / Munger story , fascinating , Michael Burry , Cathie Wood.

There are a plethora of positives , then there are the dark bits.

I’ve never heard of carts being mandatory, but I suppose private clubs can have their own rules, that cart rule is a money maker for them.

Not ALL , but particularly in resort places like Myrtle ,
I always walk , I have friends over there who haven't EVER walked a golf course.
Anyhow , sadly each to their own :(

The positive thing about the US is how easy it is to earn good money.
You spend 3+ years getting "some" degree and you are pretty much guaranteed to have a decent income for the rest of your life.

In a lot of developed world having a bachelor's doesn't really mean anything, and even with a master's you may still struggle earning significantly more than a factory worker.

Feels like skill and effort are rewarded in the US much more so than anywhere else in the world.

The US is a beautiful country geographically and has a diverse range of climates, natural parks, wildlife etc.

A lot of Americans are really nice people.

America has made some great and iconic media and television.

US culture has permeated the world and is even present in countries that are the polar opposite of America.

It has the Atlantic on one side and the Pacific on the other.

The only thing I like about the US is the small percentage of its people who haven't been brainwashed into being npcs yet...

I live in it. Yes, there are some not-so-great things about it, but most of us are far different than what is published in news articles.
