The criticism is expected. My suspicion is he does it on purpose for the free advertising. Personally, I didn't see anything wrong with most of it.
Indeed, the only possibly legit criticism I can think of is when he came a hair's breadth from calling COVID the kung flu. Asians were mostly sympathetic to the BLM movement from the start. And then a bunch of white supremacists started targeting Asians. And then, almost as if someone said "no, we can't have those two groups allying with one another," a bunch of videos surfaced of black-on-asian violence (mysteriously, no videos of the white supremacists targeting Asians surfaced, of course). He ignored how convenient the timing of those videos were for white supremacists and instead used it as a joke to imply his "black white" blood cells were kicking the ass of the Chinese virus. And his aim was probably to rip the bandaid off of such sore spots, but i imagine for some he may have torn off some skin with it.

Not for the reasons everyone is saying, though I've never considered him the 'innovative genius' the media tried to sell him as for 2 decades either. He can be a funny comedian who also has pedestrian political views, this time the left wants to 'get him' for it.
I heard about it, but I didn't actually hear what he said. With that said, I think society would be a lot better off if more of us had a sense of humor. I don't think he deserves to be canceled.
I haven't paid attention to him since early 2000s. I think he crosses the line with a lot of things he says. But he has a few funny moments. What are people mad at him about?

I don't think he should be canceled because comedy is meant to be edgy and offensive (clean humor just doesn't have the same bite). That said I was never a fan of his, but this demonstrates how the more raunchy and offensive comedians are going to struggle these days.
I mean, if you look at today's cancel culture than so many great comedians wouldn't have a prayer of making it today such as George Carlin, Eddie Murphy and so forth.Comedians are just doing their jobs, their jokes are not selected by them but by the audience.
If a joke doesn't work, they drop it, if it does work they try new ways of delivering it until they get the best responce.
Jokes are made by the audience in the same way that ships are made by the sea.I honestly don't. To me words have as much power over us as we choose to give them. If we choose to give words enough power over us to cause a negative reaction reactions, we are giving the person saying them power over us.
[Starts career making jokes about white people, using the woke crowd as a shield]
[Gets canceled by the woke crowd]He said nothing wrong or worthy of cancellation over.
Not yet, but his jokes have been losing in quality. But to be honest, that's true of every comedian.
It honestly is feeling more and more like a ted talk for a charity, less like comedy.Nobody should be canceled except maybe Hasan Piker for his takes on 9/11 and his statements that America deserved the attacks.
Yes, I do; just like Greta Thunberg, David Attenborough, and anyone else who tells us something we don't like.
no lol, he will never get canceled. It's just stupid homosexuals and transexuals.
He's factually correct!
This reminds of this quote"If I tell the truth, they rush to beat me. But if I lie, they trust me."No. I’d prefer to cancel you over David Chappelle
Nope
Nope, he has a right to his opinions.
