+1 yIt's kind of like the popular kid group back in elementary school. All of these individuals are thumping their chests and standing on soap boxes to preach about privilege, identity, pronouns, climate, gender, race, political ideals (sometimes in stupid fashion to those that grew up on failed ideals as though they knew more than them, look no further than immigrants from Cuba or Venezuela to name an example), using social media platforms like Twitter or TikTok or IG to promote themselves as well. It gets them attention, likes and trending.
Some of them genuinely believe these issues, and then others use it for clout. At the end of the day, it is a mixed bag. I feel they are under the impression it gives them meaning and purpose to speak and be listened to, but ultimately do not want to change anything or be open minded to differences of opinion. It is their way or the highway and any disagreements you are slapped with whatever buzzword they want to hit you with that has really lost any meaning.00 Reply

+1 yNo they just want to feel important and have excuses for hating others and acting a fool. Usually because they want what others have and feel it should be handed to them instead of putting forth the effort to get those things honestly. It’s like this I’ve known guys that have worked hard to get what they want and I’ve known guys that their parents gave them those thing’s either way is none of my business and being jealous and acting up when you’re not willing to do what it takes to get those things just makes a whole different kind of loser and a lot of them know that so they go and try and scream life isn’t fair that they’re being discriminated against it’s those idiots that make the divide even bigger because when someone is truly there to fight against unfair treatment for righteous reasons I agree with them but put one of those losers out there and even though it’s the same cause they make me ignore it because I figure they’re just trying to pull some bullshit. Don’t run around screaming about this injustice or racism this or sexism that and then turn around and discriminate against someone the next day. Or protest police brutality but go burn down and steal from local businesses or be mad at white people because of police brutality be mad at the police burn them down steal from them or do you just want an excuse to steal and burn shit down

+1 yAnyone that is radical is not really focused on the good or kindness of a cause. It’s more about anger and fighting to be right. Power struggles with others who don’t think like them. Belonging to a group of people when they can’t find themselves or want to avoid their real problems. A lot of the time they are violent and hypocrites. So I’m gonna go with a hard no on that one.

+1 yI would give them the benefit of the doubt and say that many if not most started out that way but they gradually became more and more disconnected from the world around them. They probably think that they are doing something good and righteous but they just can't see that they've turned into assholes.

u +1 yNo, I think they are just blindly trying to accomplish something that will make others think the SJW is a good person.

+1 yNo, they don't.
"The researchers call it the Tendency for Interpersonal Victimhood (TIV), which they define as “an ongoing feeling that the self is a victim, which is generalized across many kinds of relationships.”
Through a series of eight studies among Israeli adults, Gabay and associates sought to test the validity of the construct of TIV and explore the behavioral, cognitive, and emotional consequences of such a personality trait.
An initial three studies established the TIV as a consistent and stable trait that involves four dimensions: moral elitism, a lack of empathy, the need for recognition, and rumination. A follow-up study further found that this tendency for victimhood is linked to anxious attachment — an attachment style characterized by feeling insecure in one’s relationships — suggesting that the personality trait may be rooted in early relationships with caregivers."

Many of them (not all) are hypocrites and bullies. They would stomp on the rights of others to force their agendas. That's not social justice, it's just closed minded, self-righteous, ideological fanaticism.
That being said, there are some righteous causes, but you don't bully people to achieve them.70 ReplyI believe most of them do. There are some very rich opportunists with other agendas mixed in. But my conversations with communists and hardline socialists convinced me they do think they are right and they do believe they are benefiting the people who they think are being oppressed and undervalued in society. They simply dismiss all of the evidence that discredits their position.
SJW's are probably similar victims of their own echo-chamber. They believe their opposition to be so evil that there is no point in debating with them and having their own convictions challenged in the process. Often in debates I see appeals to emotion (you just don't care / you hate these people, consider their feelings!), but what I don't ever see is a deep analysis and a well thought out plan as to what exactly will supposedly lead to their desired outcome. The fact that I think the realistic outcome of their action is not justice in any sense of the word doesn't mean they don't care.20 Reply- 7.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 ySometimes, they care about a given cause. But that may not translate to effective results and all too often, they are emotionally out of control causing other social issues. See Portland "protestors". These types of people, fighting, for causes have been around long time:
"Green peace" of the past might be considered radical justice for oceans, left?
Tree huggers or people who pound spikes into trees..., left?
Those who blow up abortion clinics or maim the doctors... radical, right
Vegetarianism... PETA actions.
Everyone justifies their actions with logic... it's not logic.
As the Bible said its "the knowledge of good and evil". One persons good is anothers evil. It is really hard work to communicate and find common ground and resolve differences... that are all too often, deeply emotionally embedded, which is the source of the "radical".10 Reply There's an instinctual thing that happens that if you don't fight the urge will eventually overtake you.
You can start out caring then eventually shift to wanting to win. Where it's not about the thing anymore. It's about winning. It's about smashing. It's about decimating the other side vs actually getting a meaningful result for your cause.
For a lot of SJWs they'll take punishing the other side as a meaningfully consolation prize if they can't just control you to do what they want.00 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I don't think radicals in general care. In general it seems like a radical is someone who as been been been taken in by a mix of group think and the illusory truth effect. You can take radicals on both sides of any given issue into a room and attempt to have a civil conversation with both sides. That room will quickly because a battlefield. Because both sides see fighting as the only way to solve the given issue. I just hope the people that have to clean up that room have hazmat suits and a lot of cleaning supplies because they will need both.
00 Reply3.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. That's a simple answer, which equals to a yes and no. Yes for some and no for other's.
Some do it for social justice, some do it to give themselves something to fight for and be passionate about, some do it just to treat themselves as better than everyone else.
Everyone has their own intensions unique to themselves. So to just say no or just yes wouldn't make sense.02 Replyabsolutely not. they only ever cared about their own image and egos. if people care about problems they dont make complaints and not follow up with action. You either help heal society or just remain stagnant like everyone else.
30 ReplyNo. They are bigots and pieces of sh*t pretending to be the morality police. There's a reason why I've heard so many US soldiers claim that the Taliban, Al Qaeda, and ISIS are less awful of human beings than SJW's.
40 ReplyMost social justice warriors today are only out to complain and that’s it. Not willing to do the work it requires to make real change. Just wokeness and socialism.

+1 yNo. Most extreme sjw seem to care more about "the cause" than they do the people effected by said cause. It's like they are missing something in life and they latch onto a cause, any cause and use it to fill their own void. The reality is they are helping themselves more than they people they are supposedly lifting up.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yThey have standards that they demand everyone follow with threat of ruining the other person’s reputation for daring to disagree with their virtues or not follow it well enough. The second these SJWs break their own standards, they just attack the person who made the accusation. SJWs only care about silencing the opposition, not justice. It’s the same strategy as the brown shirts in 1930s Germany.
40 Reply4.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. most care but maybe some are misdirected, others maybe just virtue signallers or wanna jump on a bandwagon. problem is it gives the more right wing people like yourself an excuse to dismiss the issues they are trying to raise

+1 yThey care about it more than anti-vaxxers care about "freedom".

00 Reply 897 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I genuily think the most they care about is getting attention and I´d say that about prominent protesters no matter the topic. The first and foremost thing they want is attention for them and their view on society and the world.
10 ReplyI think that depends on the person and what they're fighting for, but I also think tons of people just like being victims, having something to compain about, making themselves the center of attention, etc.

+1 yOne word: Slacktivists.
They only want to voice their own opinions and care very little about implementing any real change... Especially if it involves even a bit of responsibility or effort on their part.10 ReplyNo they don't.
Real social justice starts with us in how we treat and help people. Social justice is our responsibility as people, not the responsibility any government. When we abdicate and demand the government take over our social responsibilities, it voids any moral credit that would be for us.01 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yThe problem you're having is you're thinking of them as a cohesive unit. They're cohesive like feminists are cohesive. Some women are feminists because they hate God for not giving them a d*** of their own. Some just hate men for a plethora of reasons. Some are actually women for the actual reason it was intended for " equality".
I try not to focus to much on the SJW's. But rather what is gained or lost.00 Reply1.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Not at all. They are hypocritical, racist, sexist people.

10 Reply No, they don’t care. They only care (or pretend to care) about their own pet causes but when challenged, they won’t deal with the bigger issues or the root causes of those issues. All they want to do is scream, yell and name-call people.

2. they want to use it as a status symbol and want to be seen doing it11 Reply - 787 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.

30 Reply What exactly is social justice and does it applies to ground level? Or not biased when it comes to gender?
Thats is the real question00 ReplyAs a general whole no, I think they're trying to shove their political ideals down people's throats.
30 Reply8.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No they don't.
If they really cared, then they wouldn't constantly be weaving threat narratives out of nowhere knowing full well what kind of miserable future this will cause when they do this.10 ReplyI think they are the same as the followers of churches and God, they think what ever they are doing is right while also standing on the moral high ground.
