But when I told her I could be going away (work reasons) she kept asking and asking where I was going and (because I didn't want to "jinx" it) I didn't want to tell her where and then she asked me "when are you gonna be able to tell me?". Does this mean she does miss me or is she just curious? I like her a lot and I feel she likes me but she puts up this barrier (she has never had a boyfriend) and although we do talk and joke and have a lot of fun together, when I hint something about me liking her she starts acting weird and distant and if I stop talking to her for whatever reason she gets upset/mad at me.

your friend is probably to an extent that she might feel if she takes a step futher than friendship that it might end everyhing you have between you.she could possibly be hiding her feelings. you don't say whether your in a relationship with anyone?could she be worried about you moving away for a long time and there would be no point starting a relationship? the best thing you can really do is sit her down explain how you feel and ask her blunty how she feels.it the only way your gona find out for sure.good luck

We are both single.Ever since I met her I felt something between us, the way she looks at me, her smile but also she just get so nervous when I talk to her and she is way too blunt with me, while she is very sweet most people.She used to tell me she never gets mad and yet I have been able to get her mad a couple of times (our personalities clash a lot). i can tell by the way you write you are madly and deeply in lovewith her.yes there is a connection cause if she gets mad with you it means she is comfortable around you.
