So Biden decided that he doesn't want the unvaccinated to make their own decisions so he is making it for them. The ultimatum is either be vaccinated or get tested (at employees expense) once a week. He is using OSHA as a backdoor to bypass typical congressional channels and those saying “it’s constitutional” fail to realize the precedent in the law is for STATE government not the federal govt. The mandate is being challenged and It will probably end up in the supreme court.
Given that the vaccinated still spread covid and that the immunity wanes requiring boosters makes the whole thing ridiculous in my opinion.

I think Biden is counting on private companies to force his mandate. Large corporations will roll over and comply with OSHA even though OSHA is so small and ill equipped to enforce it. There will be cataclysmic effects to the labor pool. Remember it’s 80 million employees we’re talking about.

I dont think it’s constitutional for the government to mandate a citizen purchase a good or service against their will in this case the testing. Im almost 100% certain Biden is just bluffing and hoping for voluntary compliance

Considering that Biden has already pushed back the mandate from before Christmas to after, proving that not only is this apparently life-saving mandate is not important enough to implement right away, but that this decision is driven entirely by trying to not completely collapse an already butt-fucked economy before Christmas.

There's one of two possible paths that's going to occur. The first one is lobbyists from giant mega-corps, y'know, the people that Biden actually listens to, are going to convince him to keep pushing the mandate back further and further, eventually getting to the point where it's not going to withstand any legal challenge because the simple fact that Biden kept delaying it proves that it's simply not important enough to be mandated at all. The second one is the madlad actually implements it, completely fucking the supply chain and the economy along with it. If that happens, things are going to get so bad that unless he completely swarms the country with illegal workers to replace the truckers and other workers that keep this house of cards we call society afloat, people are going to be begging him to lift the restrictions so they can get their goddamn Nutella.

Either way, I don't see the actual mandate lasting very long. It's just a tyrant attempting to pressure people as much as he can to line the pockets of Big Pharma using something that will eventually be ruled as illegal, but it won't matter because some people who do respond to threats and coercion will be forced to take a drug they don't want to take and probably don't even need, and won't receive any comeuppance for it.

I see it as the unproductive class playing an unwinnable game of chicken with the productive class. For example the company I work for... something like 40% of the employees do not want the vaccine. They are all adults, and all free to make their own decisions based on their own reasons. This is not an outlier; this is pretty much the norm across lots of industries.

It's already been really shitty for the workforce to put in constant overtime and long weeks to make up for positions that can't be filled, and that's been going on for a year and a half.

Come January, one of two things WILL happen. Either the already tight labor market will snap due to losing a large chunk of the workforce, and disruptions will occur, the likes of which haven't been seen since WWII, or Brandon's goon squad will back off their suicide mission.

Either way, it's high fucking time people wake their asses up and start correlating the people making these decisions with the outcomes of the decisions, and the impact on their own quality of life. Folks, this shit is "build back better".

There wasn't any reason to pay people more to stay home for upwards of a year then they were earning before "2 weeks to slow the spread", and the effect of that has been hell on the productive class. And if at least 1/4 of the workforce gets fired all at once in January, shit WILL grind to a halt. The DC clowns can print money all they want; but they can't magically make the goods and services appear out of thin air to buy with that money.

That being said, just finished my 8th week in a small conservative town as a traveling icu nurse. Current numbers: 58 admitted Covid patients in the unit. 27 on ventilators. 3 dead today alone. 56 of 58 are unvaccinated.

Over 8 weeks, I’ve yet to see a vaccinated patient die. Does it happen? Sure.

The court system works slowly, and I'd be surprised if a moratorium came down between now and Christmas. This is common knowledge, and it's why they poop out unconstitutional mandates, knowing they'll eventually get shot down.
