No. They have good hearts and concern for the people, but it doesn't work and causes other problems to citizens and risks to the country.

I've met some of these people and like to meet more. They aren't necessarily bad people, more desperate and ready to work and build a life. Immigrants... just illegal, that's the problem. I think they could be useful to our country and would "get them going" to improve the country, by training them and putting them to work. But lack of control means we are creating other problems and taking risks... drugs, illnesses, crime, dirty bombs, killers, etc... That's why Trump was right... gotta put up the wall.

Kamala is in charge of this, and she's made no progress. It's bigger than her, wrong hire! We need weekly or monthly reports and a cohesive plan. She's not skilled for this, please send her back to her hotel business and find someone who can do the job. This is why hard nosed business people are useful, they can solve problems.. sometimes.

We really need to take control of some of these SA countries, turn them into resorts, low cost factories, build buildings, grow chickens, etc..

Haiti... that's another mess.

The border situation has been a disaster for over 80 years. No policies are working as even when the word is put out that the border is closed, migrants who find a way in are simply shipped off to shelters. They end up asking for asylum and waiting ages to be processed or returned to Mexico. Unless they have family here who can take them, there's no place to put them and no jobs to offer except in agriculture in So. Cal. as migrant workers.

Any administration in the past 80 years willing to enforce a moratorium still didn't do a thing about the backlog of cases and the thousands of people already waiting for a decision. Nobody really knows what to do at this point, except of course, Gaggers who think Trump got it right. Point is, he didn't, Biden hasn't, and those before didn't figure it out either.

It's a terrible human crises being treated like a political football, and therefore, it will never be resolved. You bitches on here can blame any administration you like, but the supposedly "brightest minds" on all sides of the spectrum are at a loss for a solution.

I don't get why both parties don't do this... simply hire ten thousand more immigration judges, increase immigration fees to fund it. Then if people get accepted to stay, they pay the fees to come here legally. Can't pay the fee's, get shipped back to where they came from.

No back log, problem solved or reduced right there.

Then again, I personally am all for motion activated turrets at the border and land mines... but I have a cousin who herself blew off her immigration hearing, brought here as a child, rest of her family has become legal but she was too busy hanging out with friends to show up for court.

We haven't heard from her for awhile, it is suspected she was deported back to the country of her birth and has no money or way to contact anyone here.

I say good for her, do stupid things, win stupid prizes... she was virtually guaranteed to get a green card had she shown up for court. Instead she whined about how she thought she could reschedule to the follow day or week.

I'm heartless though, securing the border to me with deadly force is just fine by me, so long as signs are posted in multiple languages to give plenty of advanced notice that if they proceed they will die, unless they cross at a legal border crossing and apply for asylum right there.

@Aerissa_Jade I'll go one or three steps further. Build a desalinization plant off the coast of Mexico and bring water to the desert. Make an "city" of farms and grow crops, employ thousands of people and provide housing, but don't do it like the corporations of the past did where it amounted to basically indentured labor.

Then while this is going on, I agree with you. Hire thousands more agents and people to do processing, but FIRST, you have to have policies that work. If we can do that, we don't walls through the middle of Arizona and New Mexico. We still need them in populated areas, but what we REALLY need is a function, effective policy.

And again, you're correct. This should be both parties working tirelessly to get this done. Instead you have idiots holding hearings on Twitter, Hunter Biden, and still election denying while Congress tolerates their own liars and scam artists to stay in power and refuses to prosecute those who are obviously guilty. It's just insane.

This is why there is such a surge at the border for illegal crossings.

Trump had them scared to try, but Biden is like a sock puppet being manipulated by others.

He can't seem to make up his mind about the border or not, and mainly Democrats don't care. They want to welcome them all, cause somehow saying NO you have to come here legally and follow our laws they consider a human rights violation.
