Is it vain that I have a big portrait of myself near my bed and wake up and look at it every morning?

This is the portrait that stays near my bed. I intended to get more but people have had some not pleasant things to say about keeping big portraits of oneself and some people think I’m crazy.

I'm not gonna sugar coat anything. I know from our previous conversations that you're vain and narcissistic, but I didn't think it was THIS extreme! LOL THAT being said, I'm not gonna judge you negatively for it, and it certainly won't effect my opinion of you. We all have our little things, so I personally could care less, especially since I kind of have it too, to a certain extent.

There are FAR worse qualities than narcissism, and a lot of people have it. Some enjoy looking in the mirror, some get turned on by their own body. At least you're confident in your appearance. And just because you're a narcissist, doesn't mean you don't have other good qualities. So I think it's silly how much people over react. Shit, it can even be kind of cute in a way.

But I will warn you that the majority of people will find this odd, and won't be so accepting, as you seem to have already found out. So I certainly wouldn't put anymore, or if you really WANT to, at least hide them when you have guests over.

But that IS a nice portrait.

Reminds me of the cartoon I once saw in a magazine where a guy looks in a mirror and then says, "Good-night, sweet prince!" I mean, there's the story in ancient Greek mythology of Narcissus, the handsome boy who fell in love with his own reflection in the water! That's where we get the word "narcisist" from. Someone who is completely self-absorbed and doesn't really "see" other people, or consider their needs.
Why do you do it? I'm serious. That's a real question. Why do you do it? How old were you when you started?

It’s definitely a modest thing and unusual to do, even though you’re pretty it shows that you’re only into yourself by doing that, I don’t have any of just myself, just some with my kids
