Yes. It’s something that I learned in school at about the age of roughly 10 and is a piece of information that is repeated frequently until one graduates High School here or as you call it in France: lycee’. So far as I know this information is taught nation wide here in America.


I also live just a few miles from the border of the U. S. and Canada. At least in my geographical region of America we are aware that in Montreal and Quebec they mostly speak French still. Most of us are also aware of French place names in America like Baton Rouge, Des Moines, Terre Haute, and Montpelier.


However we have other problems. As is natural you could ask many adults in America about this and they would have forgotten or not know. At all. Kids frequently don’t pay attention to lessons in school and usually retain only the most important info, and once their done with school, they forget most of that.


It’s concerning because left wing politics have become a HUGE problem in America at least as far as roughly half the country is concerned. These leftists are trying to rewrite history to fit their narrative. It is nothing new, they’re just more bold at it now. Ask anyone in this country why America stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific and they will be sure to tell you: “because evil whites people stole the land from the Indians.” This lie is not new. It was what most people in my country thought going back to my youth and I’m sure before I was born. This lie has simply come back with a vengeance now due to Woke ideology in America.


It is a lie because all that area in blue on the map called New France in English was land the French negotiated for with the separate Indian tribes who owned that land, the vast majority of it anyway. The French purchased the land from literally every tribe that was on it in blue, and the basic agreement made by the French with them was that they’d own the land but the Indians could continue live autonomously according to their ways of life.


As a result of the French and Indian war or as it’s called in Europe the 7 years war, France and her Indian alies had cede a majority of the eastern portions of those areas in blue to England, but retained most of it. At the end of the American Revolution, the Americans took by treaty the Americans gained those lands ceded to English won in the 7 years war.


As for the western portion which made up the majority of the area in blue, the U. S. purchased it from the French in 1803. The French could sell it because they owned it. Frankly most of the U. S. would have been colored blue had the Spanish not been making the same types of agreements with the Indians in the majority of the western U. S.


Nobody mentions any of this though. The narrative is “the evil white people stole the land from the brown skinned people who once inhabited it because white people are automatically racist and oppressors of all other races at birth.”

That sounds like interesting study material for the future. I was unaware this philosophy came out of France. All I know is that It’s communism but applied to social situations and positions only. However most of the fools who believe that garbage want to add socialism or communism economically.

Wanting to make everything equal. People cannot be equal because they are not the same. One is faster, another stronger, another smarter…so on and so forth.

Meanwhile in America everyone but straight white men get special privileges none of us get. They (and by they I mean everyone but straight white men) get preferential hiring treatment, preferential admissions to college, and a host of other privileges and still cry about how they’re oppressed. They act as if America is Iran or something. Absolutely no one is oppressed here. Even homosexuals get special privileges. Where is the gay gene? Where is proof that homosexuality is anything other than a choice. I want special privileges because I like penetrating my wife from behind while I smack her ass and wrap her hair around my hand and tug it a bit. I was born this way damn it! Give me my privileges! Lol.

Woke ideology disgusts me so much as does modern liberalism it has driven me to become a semi fascist. I do not like totalitarian political systems but I see the lack of control and the chaos and disorder and wonder if we can handle freedom. Half of this country thinks you can wear a dress, give yourself a girls name and invert your penis and presto, you’re a woman. Half of this country thinks there are like 53+ genders which is objectively disprovable by science. I have a 128 IQ. I feel I’m growing dumber by the day having to listen to this nonsense and am horrified people believe this stuff. So, I have become 3 quarters of a fascist now as I see a strong system is required to right the ship. I am not a Nazi. I despise Nazis, but I can’t help but think we need a man like Franco in this country now more than ever.

France still has territory in America. The island of Pierre et Miquelon, just off the coast of Newfoundland in Canada, is part of France.

The Province of Quebec in Canada is not part of France... it was... and French is the primary language there.

US President Thomas Jefferson bought the Louisiana Purchase from Napoleon, who needed the money, back in the early 1800s.

The US State of Louisiana (named after Louis, King of France) was settled by French colonists, fleeing English oppression in former French territory in Canada.

And let's not forget French Guiana, an overseas department and region of France, on the north coast of South America. That's where teh European Space Agency (ESA) launches rockets into space.

One more thing: The Nation of France is huge. In addition to the country of France in Europe, France has many overseas departments all over the world, covering all 24 time zones. If you count all those, France is one of the largest countries in the world.

Interesting trivia. The small island of Mayotte (off the east coast of Africa) is an overseas department of France. Its residents are French citizens, its currency is the Euro, and it is part of the European Union (EU). Which means the EU extends into the Indian Ocean.

I would hope every American knows this. In 1699 the Kingdom of France owned a good chunk of real estate in the Americas until later that they ceded it to Spain which took possession in 1762. New Orleans became the main 'port of entry' for Spanish Louisiana in the attempt to create a "New Spain" until 1801 when Napoleon took it back for France.

The US paid $15 mill to begin annexing parts of that territory in your image in 1803 from Napoleon's France in the "Louisiana Purchase"

Yes I did. The French even tried a colony here in Florida. French Huegonots started a colony on the east coast of Florida between St. Augustine and Cape Canaveral. It was called Fort Caroline. Florida was still owned by Spain. The Spanish came down from St. Augustine and massacred the French. That area now is called Matanzas.

The French lost those territories to the British in what was called the 7 years war or French and Indian War. It was prior to the American Revolution. The Napoleonic wars were in the early 1800’s.

This is why we have the world so F’d up right now. No one knows history. If they did we wouldn’t have rampant woke ideology spreading through the Americas and Europe. People would see it for what it is. Marxism minus the economic aspect and applied to society and social situations. If people knew history they would know what evil communism has done the world over.

I just watched a presentation from I believe the Microsoft cooperation last week. Were technically French subjects prior. Can’t sell something you don’t own. But no one is mentioning this or how the Dutch purchased the island of Manhattan from the Indians or how the Spanish owned vast tracts of land in the Americas, where like the French they worked out deals with the Indians there for the land, and when Mexico had a Revolution, those lands became Mexicos and how America defeated the Mexicans in the Mexican War and the resulting Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo caused the Mexicans to cede that land to America. Effectively the majority of this country was bought from or won by conquest with peoples other than the Indians and the majority of their land was not stolen. Nobody seems to know this here in America or on the other side of the Atlantic.

Not knowing this information is in part why we are where we are today. With people running around claiming everything is racism.

I’m just saying maybe in America we should be spending more time not only teaching history but true history instead of lies and instead of spending time on garbage like Critical Race Theory and maybe it would do you Brits justice to do likewise.

You not knowing when the Napoleonic wars occurred vs the 7 years war is not critical to what I’m saying. What is critical is to understand the past so 1. People can’t rewrite it to fit their narrative and people will know better when and if they do, and 2. It’s important to understand how we got to where we are now and likewise with people groups and nations other than our own so hopefully we can avoid the errors of the past. Then again, maybe not. I think it was Hegel who stated “the only thing we learn from history is that we do not learn from history.”
