My sense is that you fancy yourself an enlightened liberal. So let us see how deeply your understand the ideas you purport to espouse.

Trace in general historical terms the pedigree of the liberal idea - particularly in its contemporary usage. Who were the dominant thinkers in that intellectual history? What is the relationship between what Americans call conservative and what they call liberal? Indeed, how has that changed over the decades?

There is a line from the movie "Bull Durham," that goes, "The world is not made for people who are burdened with the curse of self-awareness." So let us see how deeply aware you are of the pedigree of the ideas whose intellectual superiority you claim.

Just be careful that in making your case you do not end up refuting it.

Rain forests produce 16% of the Oxygen produced ON LAND. 96% of all Oxygen produced on Earth is produced in the OCEAN, not rain forests nor trees or grasses. Abortion does not reduce poverty, and homsexuality is not natural.

Republicans:
Stop claiming to believe in God while denying all science. Stop claiming to believe in God while disobeying your own religion's moral principles every day.

Both Trump and Biden have been shown to be unqualified idiots. So both political parties were wrong for nominating unqualified fools to lead this entire nation.

I have said it before, they are both the same corrupt teams, wearing different team colors and have convinced masses to cheer for team red and team blue instead of looking at what they are actually doing and saying. Both sides have great ideas, but it comes with a lot of terrible ones and in most cases at a cost to all of us. Then we hit the next election cycle and do it again. @Ez-Bri-Z True that. I find myself agreeing with a lot of centrists who are left leaning. But at the same time, I’ve also met a few wonderful republicans who I thought were great people. I’m not really a fan of extremists who are full on aggressive and disrespect my opinions. I find them to be close minded, ignorant and foolish.

I support the ideas of a party, not the person. I refrain from identifying myself as a particular party because well, I do not want to be in the extremes of a spectrum. I would just love it if someone could find a party which thinks rationally and is not about making profits off of people’s lives and despair. I’m not talking about the independent party which is not really that popular, I’m talking about a new third party which would genuinely care about the welfare of people. If the politicians genuinely cared about the citizens, they would sit down, come to an agreement, find a common ground and try to unite the people instead of dividing them even more.

Unfortunately for us, people with money and power who have their own self interest always end up in the ears of those who run for positions of power. Even those who run on the ideals of doing what is best for us, eventually either end up corrupt or out of office thanks to those with money. The rest of us are just too passive to do anything about it and so we settle for what we are given. It looks to be too insurmountable of a challenge and honestly, that is what they hope for. Apathy.
