Is Florida hiding their covid numbers again?

Three months ago, I wrote a Take about Florida manipulating its covid numbers so the situation didn't appear as terrible as it was, at least on 7-day moving averages. In fact, at the time, their numbers of deaths were literally off the scale (which went to 10.9, and they were losing 12 people per 100,000, not even counting people from other states who died there).

Now, DeSantis is back from vacation and the numbers of new cases haven't been reported since last year (unlike every other state I've checked). Lo, and behold! The 7-day average of new cases appears to be going down.

Even simpler, this time. They're just telling people who are asymptomatic not to get tested, even if they've been in contact with someone with covid. Fewer tests, fewer cases, right?

The UK's counting system is dubious, as well, but they don't pretend they went from 2,000 new cases a day to 75,000 to zero, overnight.

That is the nature of politicians. Even if you find a politician who is genuinely for the people, they're probably going to have to lie and cheat a lot just to keep up.

Didn't you notice a year or more of "Cuomo did everything wrong, DeSantis did everything right"? DeSantis was lying back in September/October when they overtook New York in deaths and he's lying now as the next wave hits.

No because I don’t live in either place, I was busy making money and running a company. Do you always cry about things that don’t effect you? Life is short then you get married and die. Have fun or in your case start looking forward to retirement. Pro tip Arizona is a great place by the way you might find it a better option to Florida.
