Here’s the issue, you say one race while disregarding the historical racism that’s taken place. You think we should just shrug it off?
If you think you can fix racial discrimination with more racial discrimination, you are a fool. The backlash will undo any progress that has been made, and in fact it already is.
Does that loss of status anger you?
It is the threat of identity politics and icreasingly generous handouts from the democrat party that concerns me.
This is where empathy for others would come in. But cool, you have none.
your actually correct, I have very little which is a flaw, but generally I believe this type of empathy hurts everyone in the long run including those being "helped"
Until you’re the one not getting helped.
its very hard for me to accept help. Also a flaw. I'm good at some other things too though
I wish I had a way of fact checking your claim. I talk to a lot of people online who say they never benefited from the govt welfare, or never asked for help on anything. And it’s probably bullshit.
your just reaching. How do whites benefit from diversity?
Well 1) genetics. Just look at Ireland. 2) immigrants are economically beneficial to everyone who isn’t a lazy fck.3) it’d be good not to anger future majorities :)4) race is a bullshit term with no scientific merit.
I jsut don't agree with your statement
Agreed, but there’s an historical aspect to race that needs to be equalized. And there’s no other way to do it.
Great in a perfect world, but what about the history of racism? We just forget it?
Why are you trying to punish people for the sins of their ancestors?
And not only the sins of their ancestors, but anyone with the same skin color?
Hey.. hhhheeeeyy... don't lump sum all of us in with idiots like that.
True, but you’d think making the minorities happy would give you more opportunity to stay in power.
How do you think affirmative action works?
you didn't answer the question?
I would want the more experienced. As would anyone.
But AA wouldn’t replace or pass up an experienced white pilot for an inexperienced minority. That’d be stupid.
I’d disagree on your thoughts of how the left views diversity. But that wasn’t the question. Does the right just react? Doesn’t have any other reasons?
Oh, we don't, you know we don't.
The left has a real problem with failing to understand the implications of its own policy, especially on racial issues in the US, and is consistently shocked and appalled when its idealism fails to deliver the promised results.
@Morri94 so you’re side gets angry with our policies like affirmative action and then gets even angrier at how they failed to deliver because you guys kept voting against it?
What is preventing California, a solid blue state, from doing anything about the incredible wealth inequality within it? Your policies are simply ineffective.
@OddBeMe @Morri94 wealth inequality?Forget that, people can't even rent. Just the homeless problem as well is astonishing. The sheer absolute, forget relative, misery of SF and LA is beyond the charts.
Yeah, I'd be giving them the benefit of the doubt if their policy wasn't all style over substance. Unfortunately, it is.
@Morri94 Style over substance, since when it has even style? It has a bunch of gas lighting, that sure it does.
@Morri94 Unfort Blue doesn’t mean liberal.
