I'm not a member of any party, as I think you should evaluate a candidate on their own, not what team they play on. On Bush vs Kerry, I voted Bush. Still think it was best of a bad lot. On Obama vs McCain, I voted Obama. Still don't regret it. On Obama vs Romney, I voted Obama again. Not as passionately as the first go round, but I still don't regret it. Then I voted for Trump twice. Don't regret either vote.
I'd say instead of cheering for a team, cheer for the people you like. Screw the team.

I grew up a Democrat, my mother was the local ward leader. Several years ago I realized that my philosophy contains both liberal and conservative pieces, and I became an Independent. I vote for the candidate that best represents my views, regardless of party.
Only bad thing about being an Independent is that both parties send me texts, emails and snail mail asking for money.

I’ve never been a commiecrat because I’ve always known that the commiecrat party is full of hypocrisy and proto totalitarian ideas.
I see what you mean - Especially if you're on the more socially conservative side - The problem is they always pull off that fake race card only in order to get more votes through immigrants and people who feel like immigrants instead of Americans - When in reality the democratic party has their ideas to the full extreme of "progressiveness" which is crazy..
I'm not much of a party man, but I'd been feeling pushed away from them for years. The Kavanaugh debacle obliterated the last of any real support I had for them; watching crowds of people scream in anger at the existence of due process and presumption of innocence with evidence that wouldn't have been enough for a star chamber to convict soured me VERY thoroughly.
It's like Ronald Reagan said, "I didn't leave the Democrat party, the Democrat party left me". That's how I feel. If they get a candidate worth voting for they might win me over again but sadly, even then, I feel it won't matter when you have mental cases like Talib, Omar, AOC among others calling the shots and a media that feels obligated to justify their irrational behavior.
I was raised in a Republican household. Registered as a Republican when I turned 18 and stayed that way until Nixon was elected. The Republican party is no longer the party of Eisenhower. I'm hoping we Democrats don't lose sight of the party of Obama. Hang in there, things will get better.
McCarthyism is alive and well because it's a part of human nature.
Thus, I have never registered with a political party and never will. I speak with my votes and, occasionally, donations.their motto is to reward people with bad behavior in order to get their votes and to punish those who behave well. Divide everyone by race and keep the division alive.
Already have. I'm an independent. The Democratic Party is unrecognizable from just 5 years ago and act like they're following orders from an insane 19 year old campus radical.
I'm not going to quit the Democratic Party because I vote based on person, rather than party. Being registered as a Democrat doesn't force me to vote for one. This is with the exception of voting for the primary Democratic candidate, of course.
I gave up on Democrats AND Republicans decades ago.
winston churchill said "if you're under 20 and don't vote left you don't have a heart... if you're over 30 and still vote left you don't have a brain"
i never had a heart =)Never been registered. I almost voted for McCain before he picked that dumb dumb VP.
I gave up, they are hypocrits and never do what they Promise, they lie to get Votes
Unless they become a states rights and small government party I won’t consider them.
I left those fools when I was 20
Yes who would support these idiots they have caused nothing but misery to the USA
