How HELPFUL modern feminism is. I am strongly anti-modern feminism. I even have a youtube channel where I post videos about how toxic feminism is.

I'm a feminist and i do volunteer work in a feminist organisation in my city. We do things like informing people about the wage gap due to one-sided house work and less pay for women , abuse in relationships, international topics like genital mutalation of women etc etc. We also try to put a light on stuff like catcalling in our city to make it a safer space for women. (There was stuff like catcalls to even 9 year old girls. Men telling them to lick their...)
We hold events to discuss stuff like this and provide a safe space to express yourself. These were some examples, we do a lot of stuff. Privately I helped women in abusive relationships (physical and mental) get away from their partners and stand on their own feet. I think what we do is important yes. We try our best to make our city more knowledgeable about these topics and a safer more healthy place for everyone. Everyone is welcome.
Im sorry you seemed to have a bad experience with feminism. There are extremes in everything and the extreme will stand out the most, while only being vaguely related to the actual thing. Have you ever met a feminist in real live? Went to a feministic organization? Or is your experience simply from the Internet? It's easy to bash feminism. It's hard to actually do things to help women. I hope you will be able to have some good experiences in the future maybe. As for your question if it is more helpful than "old" feminism? It is not compare able. I guess it would be like asking if the modern presidents are as helpfull as the founding fathers or stuff. Both are important in varying problematics. I hope you get me?

There are aspects like with anything I agree and disagree with. Seems dramatic and excessive. Put the energy into I don't know learn a new language or therapy to find the root cause of this obbsession. <3 No shade just usu their reasons for these things and you will have better quailty of life not holding onto all this negitivity. It's not healthy. There usu a root cause and getting to the bottom of it will give you a better life. Just trying to help <3 It not great to be excessive or complusive about issues you can'tcontrol. When you push women so far they fight back. It may seem agressive but we are tired of the inequity. I get it even if I don't subscribe to all the practices or beliefs. Black and white thinking is a sign of a mental health issue. Most things fall in the grey. Nothing perfict.

I think it could be helpful because feminism is an open-end movement. It´s meant to give women an opportunity to join and unite their voices. There are flaws in it yes, that´s why I say it could be helpful.
Yes there are misandrist ideas in it and yes it could lead in the gynarchy but on the other hand I don´t think there will ever be a completely egalitarian society possible because there will always be people claiming it´s a men´s/women´s world.
There is still a need for feminism because society is a dynamic concept that will either shift in one or the other direct.
All the efforts the first wave made will be overthrown the moment women stop rising voice. Take Germany for example in 1917 women got the right to vote here, about 15 years the Nazis came to power and turned back time and took back all the achievement women gained so that until 1970s of the last century women had to ask their husbands if they are allowed to work.
It took until 1997 to put marital rape under punishment in Germany.
Besides that I don´t think that everything goes right in feminism don´t get me wrong I try to raise my voice when it goes too far but it´s not that easy.
For me the biggest issue is how to react knowing it crosses lines because I have to admit it bothers me when I get cancelled or given the feeling I could get.
Modern society has changed and I don´t like the way it does but on the other hand I don´t have a solution either for such a complex problem.

First Wave Feminism literarily wasn't helpful at all. It literally hurt women's suffrage and set it back by nine years because the suffragettes were terrorists and were legitimately the Black Lives Matter of their day. Revisionist history tries to claim first wave feminism was helpful merely because they had good intentions, but that's like saying BLM helped end all oppression against black people, and killed all bad cops in America. It's completely bogus.

I wouldn't even have a problem with modern feminism's retardation if they didn't legitimately spread depression among young boy and fear and paranoia among girls. Feminism literally is a hate movement; it's core tenet is Patriarchy, the false belief that all men oppress all women and that women are weak and inferior to men.

Feminism, aside form second wave, has ALWAYS been harmful to society. Just because SOME women were oppressed during its inception, doesn't mean feminism was the solution. A better economy, freedom for everyone, and more opportunities for all fixes almost every problem in society and makes feminism obsolete, especially evident in East Asian countries where feminism never existed, like here in Korea. Healthy societies fix themselves. Unhealthy ones create fourth wave feminism, degeneracy, and woke culture.

Even first wave feminism only helped so much. A lot of women were not on board with what they were doing because they feared the repercussions. It just went further downhill from there. Then the sexual revolution of the 70's made things worse for everyone. Now we're in a phase that is just creating enemies rather than helping further equality of the sexes.

No. I firmly believe it's harmful to both men and women. I also firmly believe that its the primary motivator for a lot of women to behave as they do, which cause the reactionary MGTOW movement to form, where men over all refuse to engage in meaningful or committed relationships, which can be directly tied to falling birth rates, and falling marragie rates... Over all I think anything past first wave feminism has become a detriment or threat to Society.

If I try to be as moderate on this subject as I can, my biggest problem with feminism is that it seemed to fly off the rails in terms of objectivity and truth when it started to intersect with critical theory. Yet somehow it has managed to infiltrate sociology departments in many prestigious universities and spread blatantly incorrect information with regard to biology, economics, history, psychology, etc.

So I can't see how that could possibly be good to teach young students things that we know for certain aren't true.

I think modern feminism is destructive and toxic for men and women alike. Modern feminism has long abandoned equality in favor of superiority, victim hood, and downright fascist tactics and ideology.

At the same time it shames more traditionally valued women and pushes women to be more masculine. So you hate men unless you are men? And you are repulsed by femininity? Maybe feminism isn't an appropriate name for them anymore.

I'm all for equality, and I think women should be able to be whatever they want to be from housewife to nurse to electrician to prostitute (sex work is work) to president but hating half the population is ignorant. Denying men's issues is ignorant.

I understand that the misandrist is a very small minority of feminist. I don't think most feminist hate men, but, I don't think they advocate for men's issues. The one mens issue I'll see them bring attention to is toxic masculinity but even then they blame it on men. Yes, men started it But women reinforce it. They don't advocate for men, they don't acknowledge that women can also be predators, and they constantly exclude male victims. I just don't see where the equality is when it's always about women. No. It is downright destructive. They are not aiming for equality, but to rule over men. The law already grants equal rights. When it comes to the interpretation of the law, that is already in favor of women over men. When it comes to societal expectations, more is expected out of men yet women are allowed to express their emotions without being viewed as weak. The original feminists fought for true equality. As a guy, I'm for women's rights and equality. It's just the hatred for men has grown so much it's disturbing. A few months ago I was at a fast food restaurant and I was the first in line and there were a few girls behind me. The cashier who was female told me to go to the back of the line because she has no respect for men. I knew I couldn't win. So I just left. What did I do that was wrong? I merely wanted food and was first in line. Ever been to a college in the past 5 years. Guys stay away from the girls. The fear of being accused of sexual harassment or rape is high. It's not like women don't do bad things, they do. I don't hate women at all it's just being male automatically makes me a rapist and abuser. Yeesh. Feminism was supposed to bring equality in terms of salary, job opportunity and everything in life which she wants to do without the discrimination. The first wave did definitely have a different approach to what it is now. Now a days most feminists have the wrong idea of what feminism is (and yes I study something that has to do with feminism so I've done a lot of research) and there are feminists who understand what it actually means and try to make the correct way of things. So helpful maybe not, but remember that it took many years to do big changes so we may not see it right now, but maybe years later we will.
