Did Russia invade Ukraine?

The provinces they are in are in rebellion. Therefore they can be seen as separate entities like the CSA was during the Civil War. Therefore Russia didn't enter Ukraine because the areas they entered don't recognize Ukraine's government as their own. Plus they were invited in.

Ukranians have never invited them it was the ethnic russians living in the east side of ukraine. They consider themselves as russians. They dont speak the ukranian language. They are russian speaking and have russian ancestory.

Yet they are in Ukraine. They rebelled but as far as the Ukrainian government is concerned they're part of Ukraine. The US government didn't recgonize the CSA's sovereignty as a separate nation.

No. It wasn't an invasion, but a liberation. In fact, I hope Pres Putin sends the army all the way to Paris!

If Putin is smart, and he is, he will just accept the rebelling ethnic Russian majority areas, declare victory, and stand down. The sad truth is that the on paper borders of Ukraine do not reflect where people actually do live, for many decades now, and in some cases have lived for centuries before that. If Ukraine wants to be part of The EU and/or NATO, it will have to accept its truncated borders.
