I have a question Im not very familiar with the crisis and I just understand a bit of it. Ukraine Vice president had said that they are on their own now and no countries are helping them. Is that true? I mean so far no other country had started any war now? I mean so far what I heard is that Russia is the one invading but no other Ukraine ally is physically fighting back and no other ally is physically there helping Ukraine, am I right? Liek I haven't heard troops from the allies are there physically now.
Why is that? I mean even if many of the allies are NATO members why they can't help Ukraine at this moment?

What has happen started several years ago when Putin sent forces into Ukraine disguised as a "rebellion", his forces caused instability for the 2 eastern regions in particular where they took a good hold there. After they had then established themselves there, he basically invited himself over to "help" these 2 regions from breaking off from Ukraine while clearly he is launching a full scale invasion. This has been planned for many years clearly. This is just an excuse to invade.
One of the reasons he says anyway is he doesn't want Ukraine to join NATO, which isn't his decision anyway, but it's not the first time either. Believe my father mention they did this back in 56 as well, cause they didn't want Ukraine to be independent.

Don't take this too lightly, even if it seems far, far away. Saying this won't effect me is short-sighted. It will be a conflict that will cause inflation and financial consequences. Financial sanctions against the Russians will have practically no results, as they have been preparing for this for the last 20 years. Putin doesn't like the idea of Ukraine of likely becoming a NATO ally, and surely still believes it's part of Russia even if they voted out of the soviet union a long time ago. Since they are not a NATO ally they don't get the same protections as member countries so it's more on the sanctions side from the west. We stand for Ukraine, against the big bully to their east.
The ramifications are still pretty high for the west like oil prices will stay high for awhile along with enacting a new cold war with Russia.

There is a lot of historical background that needs to be understood on why Russia is keeping Ukraine away from Nato. The Media will never tell us really why Russia is so fixated on Ukraine and what it means to Russian's future. Its tough for people to make a choice in the matter when they don't know why it is happening to begin with. In the end It doesn't really matter whether Biden is in support or not or anybody in that manner. Ukraine unfortunately will be a puppet state to somebody is this continues warfare between Russia and the United States.
It's western and Ukrainian fault to make a mess at ukrain. US and Europe should have scrapped a cold war institution called NATO and Ukraine shouldn't have tried to be a member of it. However, Russian aggression isn't justified at all and a large number of Russian are protesting against it. Putin's intention is to put a puppet government in Kyiv, but he should have known by now that doesn't work. As there will be native and western protests. So Ukraine will eventually be second Afghanistan. EU, US will not directly engage all long as it's within the Ukrainian border.
This invasion has proved that Nato is absolutely necessary!! The only solution now is for the Russian People to rise up and remove Putin from Office. Putin must be tried for crimes against Humanity. In the long run, this is Putin's Downfall, and the downfall for any country that supports him. Perhaps this is how the World rids itself of Communism.
@fireforeffect NATO isn't necessary, it's the reason it's happening in the first place. The most necessary is the International Criminal Court, which was established to deal with war crimes and can have authority over the security council. But since all major countries commit war crimes every day they are very reluctant to sign the Rome agreement. NATO is garbage as they will not do anything to stop Russia now as long it contains within Ukraine. NATO direct attack will lead to WW3 and they know it. Ukraine should have known better. Ukraine will be the next afghanishan.
Until Putin invaded Ukraine, I thought Nato was unnecessary, and i was al for the United States pulling out of it. Putin has shown that Nato is vitally necessary to the peace of the Free world. Standing by in a defensive nature is NOT provocative. Being ready to defend yourself is N OT provocative. The United Nations Security Council is powerless here because Russia hold a permanent seat on the Security Council and can and already has vetoed any action of the Security Council. The Internation court has no power to enforce any decision it makes. Russia's invasion of Ukraine has already started World War Three just as Germany's invasion started World War II.
I do not support their decision to invade. Ukraine made it very clear it was cutting connections with the Russian Government, and aligning with the West. This scared the Russians, and they supported Rebel factions. Now they invade.
I think Putin is interested in bringing back the Soviet Union.

What we now call 'Ukraine' was always a part of Russia or the USSR, so it's simply a case of territory being reclaimed. The rest of the world should just stay out of it, but if NATO decides to back Ukraine militarily, they will quickly realise what a big mistake that is, because they will get their proverbial ass kicked!
Territory being reclaimed? Why not just go back to the Roman territories too then while at it. Nato's combined forces and military outnumber Russians and their military by 10-1.
Just because it used to be their territory doesn’t mean it’s ok to kill and hurt the people who have taken over their territory. Actually, even though I give the impression above of supporting the invasion, I don't believe it was the right thing to do, or even a very clever thing to do from the perspective of just trying to counter the influence of the west, in particular NATO. After this more nations that border, or are otherwise close to, Russia will want to join that alliance (especially Finland and Sweden), and this has so far backfired badly for Putin if he thought there wouldn't be much global opposition to what he alone is ultimately responsible for. In any case, I should clarify that although I support Russia, I don't support their rotten government. If you look into the history of Russia, you will quickly understand why the ordinary Russian is so fearful of an invasion from the west, and why security is so important. Putin just exploited this, used it to his own advantage.

Putin is trying to secure natural resources and prevent Ukraine from joining NATO. Putin stated that he's "de-Nazifying" Ukraine. Go figure. Just more proof that the U. I think we are all human, even if Ukraine is really part of Russia or not, they should let people live and make decision peacefully because it's really sad to see people dying, living in fear and kids ends up without parents in both countries... wars never solve anything, they only kill innocent people and make others suffer in pain
