Anonymous(30-35)+1 yIt’s possible to be patriotic and to hate the current government because you believe that they’re destroying your country.
I’ve accused you in the past of being unpatriotic, and you said that I was wrong. Maybe I was. You didn’t support Trump as a leader, and you wanted him gone. Are you unpatriotic or did you simply believe that he was bad for your country?01 Reply

+1 yIt depends on what you mean. I’m anti war, so some people would say I’m unpatriotic, or that I would want corporations to pay higher taxes. So what do you mean by Patriotic? I don’t want someone who just goes with the flow and virtue signals patriotism when they don’t support things the US does

They want to keep making money the pandemic was a great windfall for DEMOCRATIC COMMUNIST PARTY OF AMERICA everything made them billions costing us trillions of dollars. Just look what your paycheck does not buy anymore, and it is going to get worse.

Wow - you probably think Fox News is liberal media.

@SinceYouAsked no just look at your paycheck and what it used to buy and now what it does buy I do not need Fox MSNBC and CNN to tell me that. Democrat, Republican Liberal, and everyone else can see what is happening to us. But then there are the people who wear rose colored glasses and cannot see the forest because the trees are in the way.
11.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Don't be stupid. They are politicians ; waving patriotism and jingoism is how they get the dimwit public to follow their plans/
They would sell their soul, and yours, to the Chinese and Russians if it means more power/money for them00 Reply
+1 ySure they should be patriotic. They're representing us (supposedly) and are a member of our government. Of course, the problem comes when you try to define patriotic. That varies widely in this country.

Trying to say Canadia and the US do not need to be liberated?
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI agree. It’s too bad so many liberals, progressives, and democrats hate their own country and burn their own flag, while always talking about how every other country is better but won’t move.

Opinion Owner+1 yWell usually when people are burning the flag they are also burning buildings, looting, killing, and terrorizing. Then they go home to their homes and bask in their freedom they were just protesting against.

"Better than invading the capital and beating cops, eh?" Like your AntiFA goons did, in city after city, from coast to coast, for the last five years?

It took you longer to make the screen grab than it would to copy/paste the link. Idiot.

It’s easier for you to just take the L and say “the article really doesn’t back up the headline, but I’m hoping everyone is as stupid as me and doesn’t question it”

See, that wasn’t so hard, but I get why you were hesitant. What she said was patriotic. She wants America to follow the principles in the constitution. God, you are stupid.

If you mean what the Republicans have been doing since the election, maybe. 81 million people did not want Trump as president. That was an informed choice.
If you want to know what tyranny looks like, just look at Russia where you get arrested even for the one permitted form of protest (solo protest, basically you can legally hold up a sign saying "Down with that sort of thing", as long as you don't coordinate with anyone else.)
The USA has democratic elections, they're free and fair (enough), and you know damn well no Republican would be complaining about it being rigged if Trump had won. - +1 y
If you think there is tyranny in America, you don't understand what tyranny is.

@SinceYouAsked "cruel and oppressive rule" is actually very elementary to understand.

@goaded I don't care about the past dude, I care about the here and now. We are undoubtedly ruled by oligarchs in a way the Constitution did not intend at all.
USA minimum wage adjusted to inflation and productivity would be something like 30 bucks or more.. the federal minimum wage is not even $8. The government maliciously keeps that down and works with corporations to censor and screw us over in a myriad of other ways. - +1 y
The point is that you have an opportunity to change that situation by voting for politicians that will do what you want. The fact that far too many of them don't but people vote for them anyway is the fault of the voters in their districts. Perhaps you can educate them about the problem and propose solutions? The point is, even if it seems helpless, there are ways to get the changes you want if you can convince enough people to agree with you. Without a revolution. There's a reason AOC got elected without the support of her party's apparatus, after all.
You could make a start by convincing your local politicians to support https://wolf-pac.com and get some constitutional amendments passed to reduce the influence of money and the power of corporations. - +1 y
@goaded and look what happened to AOC.. just like Bernie Sanders, the establishment has captured her.
https://youtu.be/Q8_00JqPlOQ
Wolf Pac is a possible solution but I do fear that it might not be enough since the global elites are coaching and strategically placing people such as Justin Trudeau in positions of power. The global stage is changing and the more connected we get through technology, the faster corruption spreads throughout the globe. - +1 y
Who knows why she changed her vote? I'm sure you don't really. You'll notice that it changed the result from 420 - 10 (one present) to 420 - 9 (two present). What difference would it have made?
The point is you need more AOCs from whichever party. The Republican "rebels" sure as hell won't vote against their party unless it's for something bad. Why aren't there Republicans who will vote against gun control and for abortion restrictions but still vote for higher minimum wage? There are Democrats who will vote against their party's platform, which is why Biden's approval is in the crapper.
