Why are there Spaniards in the USA, and Frenchmen in Canada?

Republicans do not want Spaniards in the USA (Trump wanted them kicked out) and Western Canadians do not want French people in Canada!

The french and Spanish were big colonizers in their time. The British and the French had wars in Canada. British were known as Western Canada and French were known as Eastern Canada. Before the British over came the war. As for the US many Southern parts belonged to Mexico. That were you get your Spanish speaking population

You "happen to specialize in cultures and countries' ethnic origins" yet are somehow unaware that Canada was absolutely founded by the French within a year of the British landing in Jamestown, and America was absolutely first discovered and settled by the Spaniards a long time before that, and was also named after the Italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci who helped chart the New World for Spain and Portugal?
