Nothing is changing unless they all create an open dialog, and this isn’t being done nearly enough.

Are you not really following the news? The German chancellor is talking to Putin every other day, so do other leaders. Erdogan tried to reason with him. Three EU prime ministers are on their way to Kiev. Putin will only stop when he is out of all other options. He is that type of person.
@DryGermanGuy I understand there are talks happening. The reason I’m praising Macron, is because his name is constantly mentioned in regards to making a strong effort with communication. I still believe communication is key. Yes, there are many other elements involved. However without talks nothing is possible.
Also, if others are making a major effort with discussions then I’m glad. But I’m seeing a lot of Macrons efforts when I’m doing my google search
Macron claims to be closest to Putin with regard to being able to have a frank discussion with him. But so far Putin blocked everyone trying to talk sense into him, no matter which country he or she is from. To be continued, it seems.
@DryGermanGuy Yeah, he seems to have more of an open door to talking to Putin, so to speak. I imagine he conducts himself in a very diplomatic way, for him to have this opportunity. I really hope my prime minister follows and can then have a constructive conversation. Because talking is a key approach to calming all tension. Not one situation in life, does this approach not work. It’s basic and not very glamorous, but it’s effective.
Unfortunately the British prime minister BoJo the Clown has amassed so many problems with running his own office that he will use this war as a mere distraction. Maybe he will do right by the Ukrainian people but that will be rather by chance, I'm afraid.

Some of the price increase in gas is due to the Russia/Ukraine conflict, roughly 65 cents worth. But the rest is due to the current administration sending one sign after another that supply will tighten, which drives futures contracts and drives prices up ahead of the actual supply tightening.
As Obama said, elections have consequences. Enough people bought into the "out for the little guy" lie, to get key states within the fraud margin. And the working class always hurts the most when that's allowed to happen.
It just is what it is, and it's not gonna get any better anytime soon. This conflict will fall by the wayside, and there will be one media story after another about why inflation continues to ravage. The fact is neither party has what it takes to put the inflation dumpster fire out, so look for a rough decade to come. People are going to have to get used to a declining standard of living. The pain has only just begun.
It isn’t Russia causing your gas prices. It’s the piece of shit in the White House you voted for energy policy. On day one he stopped the keystone pipeline and suspended all drilling on federal lands. He then went to our enemies to make up the difference. We were 100% energy independent under Trump and your fuckup reversed that and opened the southern border.
Currently it seems as though they’re losing too hard to make progress. It seems absurd to think that Russia will admit an embarrassing and crushing defeat and go home empty handed — with less than nothing — completely defanged on the world stage. As the encountered difficulties the Russia soldiers turned to more destructions weapons and civilian targets out of desperation. I think in that vein the risk of the war now is not that Russia will win, but that Putin will resort to more war across new fronts or nukes in an attempt to keep Russia respected as a threat. Also, luckily China seems to have decided to back away from Russia. The concern was that they would act as a lifeline for Russia, but by it appears that they are actually concerned about the extent the west is willing to go to with its insane self harming sanctions. It may be too damaging to China and unite the world against China like Putin united Europe against Russia.
Why would Russia back down when they have complete air superiority? If you understand anything about modern war you know they have won the war. They have total control. What is in Ukraine will be exposed. Nothing Can Stop What Is Coming. Your gas prices aren't a result of Ukraine. They are a result of policy decisions of the Obama/Biden administration and the congress that supported them back in 2014. It is an engineered crisis/oil shock. If you have a problem with it, take it up with Democrats.

But knowing Putin, I think he's all in for this. Especially if you look at the efforts they have put in to stifle free speech in Russia. Unfortunately, this will probably end with Ukraine being part of Russia. It's either that or it will escalate to WWIII, which here's hoping China butts out.
Probably not. Putin won't give up until one of two things happen:
1. His forces take over Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, and a puppet government is installed, OR
2. His forces get tired of fighting and retreat back to Russia
IMHO, it's a toss-up which is going to happen first.
There's no way for Putin to withdraw without losing face now. The second the first Russian soldier stepped onto Ukraine soil Putin had to take the country quickly (failed). Anything less would be a prelude to WW3.

if you think the gas prices have a lot to do with russia, you should consider that the raw oil prices per barel of oil were more expensive than today in 2008. why do you think was gas still cheaper than today then?
this price increase is mostly caused by political decisions around co2 reductions to help global warming and traxation to pay what the corona crysis has costet nations. russia invading ukraine is just a distraction they use to piss on your leg and tell you it's raining.
Putin is going to trying to force Ukraine into certain terms vía a peace treaty. Right now they are ridiculous. But the Ukrainian resistance has been give the Russian army absolute hellish resistance. This is not working out how Putin thought it would.
