they're threatening, greatly, to do so. Will they?

The u. s., is the only country to have ever used them on another county, lots of people criticize us for it, especially because we didn't need to. So, if russia does it, we will no longer be the only ones in the world, to have used them on another country. Is it moral?

Is it really any different from what America did to the Japanese? America was facing a very tough, very long and costly war to achieve their objective—the complete and total surrender of the opposing nation. Nukes were the most expedient means of achieving that, especially the US had battled against nightmarish jungle warfare throughout the Pacific, all just to get close to an invasion of the mainland. After seeing the opposition, determination, and will of the Japanese people, the US just said “fuck it.” Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

What consequences did America ever really face from that?

What consequences would Putin face? Sanctions? Who cares. They’ve already been sanctioned. A retaliatory nuke strike? By whom?

Ukraine doesn’t have nukes and isn’t in NATO.

Will NATO nuke Russia? Why? Ukraine isn’t in NATO, and we’ve already seen their unwillingness to even aid Ukraine with conventional military troops in a counter-offensive—and now they are going to nuke Russian civilians in St. Petersburg?

I mean Russia could just as easily nuke Belgium, or France, or Italy, as easily as Ukraine. You nuke Russia they are most definitely launching counter-nukes. Do you think that the French want to see Paris nuked, because Putin dropped a nuke on Odessa? What about the Germans?

No. Europe will sit back and wring its hands, and not know what to do.

Which leaves America, also a member of NATO, but let’s forget that. The USA is not going to launch a nuke on Russia because Putin drops a bomb on a city in Ukraine. Just one city. Gone. Vaporized.

America’s generals would look at any President and say, “Is this REALLY the person you want to fight with? For Ukraine?

If you nuke them you can kiss the USA good-bye. DC. LA. NYC. Boston. Dallas. Etc. Gone.

For Ukraine? Are you kidding me?”

Putin would drop one nuke and see if Ukraine surrenders. If not another.

The damage would already be done. No one would risk a nuclear retaliation against Russia as I’ve pointed out. The Ukrainians can’t nuke them back.

So the bomb would get dropped or more likely an ICBM fired, and the whole world would go, “OMG. Uh. He did it. I can’t believe he did it, but uh, yeah. He did. Wow...”

There’d be all the crap on the news about some politician or celebrity condemning the attack, and none of it would mean crap. But it’s good for clicks and followers. 🤷‍♂️

As i said, it wasn't necessary to bomb them, it was already being said they were ready to surrender

The US went into the war with Japan with the end goal of UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER.

if he goes this crazy, he'll face plots and threats from his inner circles

China would not support it either... China would not want a world in which the nuclear weapons are a thing you can use, they certainly don't have enough of those to shift the power on their favor

Probably, the problems is not ukraine losing. It can not let western countries get what they want. If western countries are still confident they can pretend to be loser.

It is hard you see they get involved other's internal affairs already and ask china do what they want.

Well it is possible that they might use small tactical nuclear weapons on Troop concentrations, they won't push the big buttons because we will annihilate them in 24 hours. Our intelligence knows where Putin is pretty much at every hour. If he started using nuclear weapons we would have him dead and crispy in 1 hour
