No, that's pointless for the Chinese ALTHOUGH about 50 years ago, there was some contention (*) regarding the border. US President Nixon, at the time, exploited this rift between communist powers USSR and China. This is why Nixon went to China in February 1972 and then the USSR in May 1972 - two huge diplomacy trips that were very popular the world over and that led to Nixon winning big in 1972. Unfortunately for him, his paranoia got to him leading to the Watergate break-in in June 1972. Totally unnecessary.
Right now, the situation became somewhat reversed, especially before the Ukraine War.
Russia has wanted Ukraine for some time and the Chinese want to reunite with Taiwan which they believe is their's. Because the US opposes both, the Chinese and Russians have been nice to each other. This could all be part of a new world order in which the Russians successfully re-integrate Ukraine (doubtful) and, with the West weary of war and conflict in Europe, the US would be less enthusiastic to defend Taiwan, thus enabling the Chinese to become even more dominant in the Pacific. This ultimately would lead to parity with the West no longer being at the apex of the world affairs.
(*) Look up "Sino-Soviet Border Conflict" of 1969 and "Sino-Soviet Split".
Definitely not happening.
The debacle in Ukraine as well as being cut off by the European countries has driven Russia straight into China's arms. At this rate, Russia is going to become China's energy vassal before the year's end.
This is by the way pretty much a worst case scenario for the west. Historically, the US, China and Russia formed a triangular rivalry in which they'd arbitrarily oppose each other out of principle. Making Russia more or less subservient to China, while also pissing off India (which the US and EU are actively doing) is effectively pushing the world into a second Cold War, except with significantly weaker western leadership than before.
Nonsense. Chinas military isn't fully modernized, its uniforms and tanks are too small for most of its forces, its poorly trained and they don't even have a functioning aircraft carrier. Not to mention they haven't been in a real war in decades. Chinas best asset is their missile systems, and Russia has shown that its quite adept at taking those out.
um no, china will most likely invade taiwan but definitely not russia.

You may be right. Russia stole some land from China in past war. I know China has not forgotten. China thinks Taiwan should be there property too. Who knows what Xi will do…
if China would treat their citizens better they could self-sustained with the billions that are in the country…
China is even less prepared for war than Russia was when they invaded Ukraine. Furthermore you need around 3 million troops to continue to occupy Russia after the war and that is if the people welcome you. If they resist you will need significantly more. China simply dont have the military resources to meaningfully threaten Russia as a whole.
Taiwan has been belonging to China always. You see the party which fought to Japan went to Taiwan that stand for chinese. Japan did not know giving back to whichever that should stand for chinese certainly I mean 1400000000 instead of 20000000.
About russia they might not need western country. Dont need to pay patent right to western and develop their own. I think that is pleasre to see.
China will invade Russia? What even makes you say that? Russia's Tsar Bomba could destroy about 5% of China's landmass.
And Russia and China are strategic allies even though China isn't a reliable one and Russia knows that from past history but it's still an ally to Russia.
And China is loving what's happening right now. Why would they intervene in any of this? I don't know why you said that. What even made you?
@will34 A poor country which is the strongest nuclear power in the world, one of the largest defense exporters in the world and also one of the largest gas/oil exporter in the world and also the second strongest country in terms of military. Say the whole thing dude.
And Russia’s biggest ally is India and in this very day if India and China go to war, India will completely destroy China because of the very geography of the India/China borders and also because of the specialised military capable of fighting in high altitude conditions.
India can also lock the Indian Ocean and that will totally destroy China’s trade and economy.
Make no mistake, Russia’s alliance with India and Vietnam would break China in half and it’s not like USA will support China either.
There is NO WAY China would invade Russia. Impossible!
@will34 Part of NATO? Dude what are you even talking about?
Ha, Id love too see that, and it would be perfect timing. But I wander what Biden would do?
Probably wouldn’t care lol
No, he'd have to do something.
I got a feeling Biden would say something stupid though like Putin got what he always wanted is war we are not the aggressors he brought that upon himself
Oh yes, stupid and Biden go hand in hand. And Putin needs to be taken out.
Are you two sniffing glue together?
It would be a smart move when Russia's economy goes in the crapper, and they can't build up their war machine and I sure China doesn't care what other countries think about it but the one thing that puts an end to that thought is the nuclear threats from Russia
Most retarded prediction yet. China wants to be #1 and anything that hurts the US they are for. So Russia is hurting US , so they will support Russia. Just because China says they will stay out of war, doesn't mean they will. They could send weapons to Russia. They could use cyber on Ukraine.
China is getting deals on oil and metals. Also , you people don;t get it , Putin if boxed in will launch Nukes to US and Europe and would China too if they attacked.
War is bad for trade and the Chinese economy. Taiwan is a direct threat to the Chinese communist government. Taiwan is a seriously rich economy and has a powerful military
The logical coherence of this posting follows its syntactical coherence.
You do know that they are going to fake WW3. They a agenda to complete
The Chinese aren't going to save your Nazi friends in Ukraine. Sorry to break it to you...
what nazi? One small group
That would definitely be a shock to putin.
Isn't China allied with Russia?
Russia is the last country China would invade
China has no need to invade Russia
Don’t know, they’re pretty buddy buddy.
