+1 yHe means a One World Government as is spoken about in the Bible. One thing is sure, it won't be him. The world leader, or antichrist will be a man everyone will be fooled by.
As Daniel says, the coming world leader will be renowned for this kind of eloquence, which will capture the attention and administration of the world.
Daniel goes on to tell us that not only will this golden–tongued orator speak in high–blown terms, but he will also speak arrogantly against God. The apostle John describes him similarly in the book of Revelation: "And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies" (Revelation 13:5).
Daniel continues his description of the Antichrist by telling us he is a man "whose appearance was greater than his fellows" (Daniel 7:20). In terms of his outward appearance, this man will be strikingly attractive. The combination of his magnetic personality, speaking ability, and extreme good looks will make him virtually irresistible to the masses. The apostle John expands on Daniel’s description of the Antichrist’s blasphemous acts by telling us that every living person will be required to worship this man. "He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as man as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed" (Revelation 13:15).218 Reply- +1 y

A new partnership of nations has begun, and we stand today at a unique and extraordinary moment. The crisis in the Persian Gulf, as grave as it is, also offers a rare opportunity to move toward an historic period of cooperation. Out of these troubled times, our fifth objective -- a new world order -- can emerge: A new era -- freer from the threat of terror, stronger in the pursuit of justice and more secure in the quest for peace. An era in which the nations of the world, east and west, north and south, can prosper and live in harmony. - President George H W Bush.

@exitseven If Democrats will be "perpetually in power", it will only be because the Republicans have shown themselves to be completely incapable of governing. "You can fool some of the people, some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time." All their lies will come back to bite them.
- +1 y
“Stronger in the pursuit of justice?” For who? And in what sense? Justice seen to by god? Or by humans? Humans seeking justice isn’t true justice. It’s full of corruption. The bad guy in a story would call defeating the hero justice. Is it though?

@exitseven Trumpturds are thoughtless. . . but it is like you are doing that purposefully.
The dems perpetually in power, huh?
You are not a Republican first of all. You are trump supporter. There are Republicans who actually believe in Conservative principles. You can't articulate a single one. Nor can trump.
So since we know that there exist Conservative values that have nothing to do with pledging allegiance to a clown. We should know that there are plenty of policies, political views, etc. that any person of any culture, ethnic group, etc. can agree with and support. But that isn't what is happening in today's political debate. Basically what we have is an extremist group who seeks to undermine the very democracy which we use to decide our leadership. And you do this by defining two sides and only two sides. You create the narrowest most extremist ideology as one view and any other dissenting view as the "left". So a person can't be a financial conservative while supporting gay rights. He can't be for social programs, but at the same time be against all forms of immigration. He can't be a person for a formidable military, but be want to see more diversity in government.
There is only one narrow extremist view that is constantly shifting but demands absolute fealty.
- +1 y
@exitseven Funny, because I see the first in the list being:
"Raises the minimum wage of federal contract workers to $15 an hour in early 2022, up from the current $10.95. Eliminates the tipped minimum wage, $7.65 an hour, by 2024. Requires a $15 minimum wage for federal contract workers with disabilities." - +1 y
- +1 y
@RolandCuthbert Honestly, I didn't even read through the list before I posted it (and it was an old one, first 100 days); it was obvious that many would help the average American.
How about: "executive branch appointees to sign an ethics pledge barring them from acting in personal interest and requiring them to uphold the independence of the Department of Justice" or "Fortifies DACA after Trump’s efforts to undo protections for undocumented people brought into the country as children", or "Strengthens Buy American rules by closing loopholes and reducing waivers granted on federal purchases of domestic goods"... - +1 y
@goaded This is where Europe is just ahead of the United States. Because Germany is united by culture. You guys receive a truckload of refugees and immigrants from the Arab world. And you demand that they adopt the German culture, the language and history. But when it comes to granting access to opportunity and resources, there is no distinction. Germans support Germans.
Not so in the U. S. We are divided by race. So Steven feels like his tax dollars are going to lazy folks if he thinks they are going to "Black" people. Even as putin tried so sow racist nonsense in Europe, the problem is the call for culture will always be stronger.
Obama can never be accepted as being "White" by racists here in America. But the Irish can accept him as being Irish. - +1 y
@RolandCuthbert Germany doesn't insist than immigrants drink excellent beer and eat sausages (although that's still a big part of the culture!), but you have to be able to function in the country (learn a sufficient amount of the language, understand the democracy, etc.) to get citizenship.
I'm sure there's still plenty of racism, especially in the old East Germany which has had massive amounts of investment from the rest of the country and where, coincidentally, they also have the highest rates of covid (it's our "South"). At least we don't have politicians insisting that schools don't teach that racism is bad. Yet. - +1 y
- +1 y
@RolandCuthbert True. I think Germany's system is designed to be run to the satisfaction of the majority, it's quite hard for a demagogue to take control. The UK's system is weaker in that respect, with first past the post voting allowing a party with a minority of votes to take control, but it still takes a large proportion of the "winning" party to select the Prime Minister, and they can be removed by a vote of no confidence. The US system seems designed to ensure minority rule is a regular occurrence for whole four years and a similar minority making the country practically ungovernable even when they don't have the presidency.
- +1 y
@goaded Nobody works for minimum wage anyway. Maybe this was overdue but most entry level burger flipping jobs start at 17/ hour. It looked good as a press release but did not help too many people. What would help people would be to encourage manufacturing jobs in the US. Raising taxes on businesses just chases more businesses to offshore locations.
- +1 y
@exitseven "Nobody works for minimum wage anyway." If that were true, raising it would not make any difference, so why do Republicans oppose it?
Oh, look, it's not true:
"According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) 1.6 million workers, or 1.9% of all hourly paid, non-self-employed workers, earned wages at or below the federal minimum wage in 2019."

Opinion
33Opinion
3.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Forgive me, I did not vote on this one as the third option is the correct one. Mr. Biden meant nothing. It was so much verbal meringue, which is the President's preferred rhetorical mode.
There is a line from a play: "I'm a man of no convictions - at least I think I am." This perfectly encapsulates Mr. Biden's approach not just to the retail business of politics, but to political philosophy itself.
One need only view recent history on the Ukraine question. Mr. Biden's administration said that economic sanctions were designed to deter a Russian invasion of Ukraine. Then the President said that sanctions were not meant to do that.
Mr. Biden said that an incursion by Russia into Ukraine would not be an invasion. Then he said it was.
Mr. Biden seemed to call for regime change in Russia. Then he denied that he had ever called for that. Then he denied that he had ever denied that.
When these episodes - which were on tape - were presented to him, Mr. Biden denied that they ever happened AT ALL.
The list goes on and there are a variety of domestic policy issues where Mr. Biden has played the same game. This not because Mr. Biden is a flip flopper - though certainly in practice that is what he becomes. This rather because Mr. Biden believes nothing in particular, except for the last thing that he said at the moment he said it.
This may all sound unduly harsh and partisan. However, the record is pretty clear and even the Biden presidential campaign was an exercise in saying nothing in particular. Thus did Mr. Biden sit in his basement and say as little as possible. Thus, he won the presidency because he said nothing objectionable - but now finds that he has no mandate to govern. His abysmal legislative record in a Congress largely controlled by his own party being Exhibit A to make the point.
For what it is worth, the talk of a "new world order" is overblown. The conflict in Ukraine is a conflict of realpolitik, not ideology. US interests in Ukraine are derivative and secondary. More rooted in America's need to reassure its NATO (particularly eastern European) allies.
This is 1914, not 1939 or 1950. Which given how 1914 turned out is not especially reassuring. Yet for Americans, the memories of World War II and the Cold War being fresher than those of World War I, have a tendency to view the world through the prism of ideological conflict. It also being a fact that America is a creedal nation. It's identity rooted not in ethnic or racial identities, but in the ideal articulated in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Gettysburg Address and other such documents.
When all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. So Americans have a tendency to view the Ukraine contest through the prism of ideology and not the geopolitics and realpolitik that are the real issues in this case.
It was to this that Mr. Biden's remarks about a new world order were appealing. He said them, didn't mean much beyond vague generalities, and likely gave them no more thought.00 Reply

Chapter 11
Then saw I a dream, and, behold, there came up from the sea an eagle, which had twelve feathered wings, and THREE HEADS
Moreover I beheld, and, lo, the eagle flew with her feathers, and reigned upon earth, and over them that dwelt therein
And I saw that all things under heaven were subject unto her, and no man spake against her, no, not one creature upon earth
But this head put the whole earth in fear, and bare rule in it over all those that dwelt upon the earth with much oppression; and it had the governance of the world more than all the wings that had been
And after this I beheld, and, lo, the head that was in the midst suddenly appeared no more, like as the wings.
But there remained the TWO HEADS, which also in like sort ruled upon the earth, and over those that dwelt therein.
For thou hast afflicted the meek, thou hast hurt the peaceable, thou hast loved liars, and destroyed the dwellings of them that brought forth fruit, and hast cast down the walls of such as did thee no harm.
Therefore is thy wrongful dealing come up unto the Highest, and thy pride unto the Mighty.
And therefore appear no more, thou eagle, nor thy horrible wings, nor thy wicked feathers nor thy malicious heads, nor thy hurtful claws, nor all thy vain body:
That all the earth may be refreshed, and may return, being delivered from thy violence, and that she may hope for the judgment and mercy of him that made her
And he said unto me, This is the interpretation of the vision:
The eagle, whom thou sawest come up from the sea, is the kingdom which was seen in the vision of thy brother Daniel.
In the same shall twelve kings reign, one after another
In his last days shall the most High raise up three kingdoms, and renew many things therein, and they shall have the dominion of the earth,
And of those that dwell therein, with much oppression, above all those that were before them: therefore are they called the heads of the eagle.
For these are they that shall accomplish his wickedness, and that shall finish his last end.
For the two that remain shall be slain with the sword.
For he shall set them before him alive in judgment, and shall rebuke them, and correct them.
For the rest of my people shall he deliver with mercy, those that have been pressed upon my borders, and he shall make them joyful until the coming of the day of judgment, whereof I have spoken unto thee from the beginning.
Be of good comfort, O Israel; and be not heavy, thou house of Jacob:
For the Highest hath you in remembrance, and the Mighty hath not forgotten you in temptation

This is massive change and we are at the beginning of it... uprising in russia, higher prices, hunger, starvation, conflict across the globe. Poor harvest in china is impactful, ukraine wheat/corn/oil off the market is impactful... get much more of that, we have big trouble.
hard to say what he thinks he means, or if he even has an idea what it will look like as it settles. pretty clear it's hard to go back to what was. how are any border countries to russia secure? that could lead to more conflict with nato. I assume it means some division east and west ultimately, currency tension continues as china rises and usa continues sinking economically. That creates tensions in the east with new potential of war as power shifts.

People are ignorant and can't accept the truth, people look to the government as the hope for their freedom and livelihood. As the late comedian George Carlin once said, "they (the government) don't give a fuck about you". Take that "hope" from people and social unrest will pursue. Socialism/communism and capitalism were there to divide the public. At the end of the God's words will come to fruition.

Our rating: Missing context
Based on our research, we rate MISSING CONTEXT the claim that Biden said there is a “new world order,” because without additional details it could be misleading. Biden’s full speech shows he was discussing global changes in the wake of Russia’s attack on Ukraine. He was not confirming a one-world government conspiracy theory. Historians and experts say the term "new world order" has been used by politicians for decades to describe international changes during a new period of history.

If you're talking about what Daniela1982 is saying, that's the anti-Christ/number of the Beast/false prophet thing.
If I remember correctly, the world is supposed to fall into total chaos and then the "silver tongued devil" comes along to save it for a time. We, as in the world, do seem to be getting more chaotic than years past. Maybe it's around the corner, maybe not. It doesn't take much to upset the entire food chain and throw the planet into a spiral. Guess we'll see.00 Reply Honestly, only if a NWO is based on the founding principles that have allowed the US, despite all its corruption/attacks, to prove the most effective government in history. I'm talking 1800s to around 1950 when it peaked in innovation, wealth, prosperity, while still, despite the "Office of Censorship" in WW2 & other issues, has maintained relative artistic, literary, and basic rights, even, for now, in the face of unprecedented attacks on free speech.
The NWO, as Klaus admits, is groupthink, not separation of powers/checks & balances - were it to be a system with checks and balances as the US government, despite many attacks, has at least somewhat maintained for 250 years, along with free speech rights, I'd be for an NWO, just not one run by one-party incompetent bureaucrats who don't respect rule of law.00 Reply

@goaded Look at what Biden did. He reversed all the good policies Trump implemented just because it was Trump that did them. Look how messed up the country is now. You cannot say that Biden made anything better. America is starting to look like something out of a Mad Max movie and it is all Biden's doing.

Rubbish. You've already proved that you don't look at what Biden actually does, just believe what you're told he's done. Biden reversed a lot of Trump policies because they were bad policies. How "messed up" is the country right now, other than almost an entire political party supporting sedition and trying to destroy American democracy?
Really: what specifically would you protest about, and how many people would agree with you?
Price of "gas"? Lower than in 2008.
Unemployment? It's only been lower twice, for short periods, since the 1950's.
Inflation? Largely nullified by pay rises.
Mask mandates? Where?
Lockdowns? Where?
Vaccine mandates? State level.
Over 1,000,000 Americans dying of covid? (Congratulations, on that milestone, by the way; I expect you'll be blaming Biden for that, too, and not Trump or the states like Forida that ignored the science.) - +1 y

Biden has totally lost control of the southern border. Millions of illegals have flowed into the country and Biden has shipped them all over the country. They are the gift that keeps on giving. Record numbers of people have died of ODs from the fentanyl that is coming across the border. Inflation is nullified by raises? That is a joke. There are still lockdowns. The college I teach at is still locked down with all online courses. More people have died when Biden was president even though he had vaccines. Florida was among the lowest covid levels in the country. DeSantis took care of the elderly first instead of putting infected people back into nursing homes like in NY. - +1 y
The peak price of fuel in March was 3% higher than the peak price in 2008, well below the difference due to 14 years of inflation. And there's a war on. The point is that Biden has very little to do with global fuel prices, no matter how much propaganda you've swallowed about how terrible Biden is.
"July 7, 2008—Crude oil prices settled-in at a new record of $147 per barrel. The U. S. average price for regular gasoline climbs to an all-time high of $4.11 per gallon."
www.treehugger.com/us-gas-price-year-in-review-4858089
"U. S. regular retail gasoline prices averaged $2.60 per gallon (gal) in 2019, 11 cents/gal (4%) lower than in 2018."
www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=42435
"On March 21, the U. S. regular retail gasoline price across all formulations (conventional and reformulated) averaged $4.24 per gallon (gal), and the U. S. on-highway retail diesel fuel price averaged $5.13/gal. Retail gasoline prices peaked in our weekly data on March 14 at $4.32/gal" - +1 y

@ticonderoga2 Sure you can talk to me, just try to bring facts and not propaganda to the conversation.
"Whatever the democrats want, I want just the opposite." Is both accurate and a demonstration that Republicans have no positive ideas. Is there really nothing that Democrats want that has merit? How about affordable health care for everyone (like Trump promised)? - +1 y

@ticonderoga2 "more commie than Canada" is not hard.
If you don't like single payer, do like Germany has since the 19th century: private hospitals, surgeries and insurance companies. What's the difference to the US system? The government stops those companies from ripping everyone off. - +1 y
@goaded There's an answer to it. But it sure as hell does not go through Democrat party to get there. First things first. Term limits across the board for any politician. No life time appointments for any thing. They want asinine age requirements? Then you plant them bastards with age limits too.

In response to your glib criticism that I have not read Atwood's book, "THT", my reply is that you are incorrect. It was assigned reading for me in a freshman English class.
This GAG post's question...
"What do you think Biden means when he says that 'A New World Order' is coming? and are you in support of this New World Order?"
... received an acceptable response from me (referencing Atwood's book, The Handmaid's Tale) regarding the nature of a dystopian, totalitarian regime that decimates the Natural Rights of human beings, which is what a New World Order will do.
What, exactly, about my reply, is inaccurate, incorrect, or irrelevant to the concept of a NWO, in your estimation?

Why are there so many trolls on GAG, yourself including? I have never encountered so many petty, nit-picking, obnoxious, rude, bitter, aggressive, combative, and ignorant people on The Internet than on this GAG website. What's your damage? I don't mind you coming for me... Just know what you're talking about first, sir. Thanks. - +1 y

@gigi2019 WEEE Dooggiees!!! Black babe that maybe done did the regrettable, please don't tell me it was two times with Obama and one time with HIllary before Biden finally did it to you?
- +1 y
Here we go. What does it take @gigi2019 You talk about being regretful for not voting for Trump. Then you sound off on me. If you think I'm sexist and racist? You have another thing coming. Rough around the edges? Sexist? So how do I un Trump myself here? Totally cute American, yes, gigi I'm a mut, I'm an American too, not 12 races before what you can say which is AA. You are African American, I'm like 6 minimum of mut. So throw out the vitctim group mentalities. We, me and you, all of us are American. So, it amazes me that a black totally good looking woman wishes she voted for Trump? How is that not amazing? How is it sexist? How is racist? It's amazing. We are American. Period.

Bush Sr. Was talking about new order too back in the early 90's.
It's basically a new system of doing things because the current system is outdated or not working efficiently.00 Reply - 779 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.

And then the REALLY bad stuff would start !!!11 Reply- +1 y

14 Reply- +1 y
The last time I looked Jews and Communism do not mix. The last I heard is that Jews liked making money Communism does not like anyone making money except themselves, so I do not see Jews and commies bonding together over this
- +1 y
The last I heard, communism was invented by Jews like Karl Marx and Leon Trotsky, the communist revolution was funded by Jews like Jacob Schiff and Max Warburg, and the first communist government was 80% Jews. Vladimir Putin, also a Jew, admitted this in a speech. So no, Jews love communism as long as they are the ones controlling it.
- +1 y
That was then. This now a lot of bad blood and death has kind of realigned thinking on both sides. Besides admitting that one is a Jew does not make him or her a Jew. What happened to the 80% Jews?
- +1 y
Good question. Evidence would seem to suggest that they abandoned communism as an abject failure. On the other hand, when you look at the richest and most powerful people in that region of the world, they are still all Jews. Russia is the largest country on the planet so there's an obvious benefit to controlling it whether by communism or capitalism. In the end it's all about control not necessarily economy type. When you look at modern America, we have many of the same aspects of communistic countries. No criticizing official propaganda as one example. While not an official law, everyone accepts the very real consequences of being "politically incorrect". We have a leader that basically no one supports so it's hard to claim we have true democracy. I would consider modern America as a type of communist-democracy hybrid.
