Men are no longer respected today like they seemed to have been in the 1900s. Sure there was crazy violence back then but there’s still violence today so that’s no excuse why men went from being respected to whatever they are now. So what was it that changed? Expectations? Society? Too much acceptance of feminine qualities being passed in politics? Something else?
What happened between the 1940s and 2020 that gave men such a drastic downgrade?

Until the 1930's, the prevailing attitude was that you are responsible for yourself and nobody else is going to rescue you, so learn to be responsible and grow up. In the 1930's, FDR instituted the New Deal, a series of government programs intended to ease the hardships of the Great Depression. This started the idea that it was the government's job to take care of us. This continued in the 1960's with LBJ's War On Poverty, the expansion of social Security and Medicare, and the creation of Medicaid in 1965. Publicly-subsidized housing has expanded greatly since then and it has all been downhill.

Cultural decline. The same thing happened in Rome. While it was ascending to the height if its power, its family structure weakened and fertility decreased. In the case of the West, a needless war (WW1) that was dragged on at a horrific cost of lived to satisfy elite banking interests wiped out the bravest and best men of Europe (those who were quick to volunteer). This is rarely considered. Men in the ruling elite were much weaker and unable to resist radical egalitarian movements especially when they could be exploited for quick political gains. Cultural decline corresponds with a concentration of wealth in the elite. This has definitely happened in the case of the West. Our elite are a managerial elite who seek compliance to their processes for the sake of efficiency. As such, they aggressively seek to destroy cultural differences and increase the pliability of the people to create well behaved consumers. Reducing masculinity is both critical and coincidental (soy is used as a substrate for processed food for the sake of efficiency and profit) to this effort.
@IMuser The typical American eats far more soy than is typical in Asian diets due to its widespread use in processed foods. That is not healthy at all, especially for men.
Some viruses and diseases have a delayed reaction before signs begin to show. Sometimes it just shows up after it's too late like cancer. We call this particular strain of cancer "Karl Marx". And there a various stages to this cancer. I'm afraid this strain was called feminism and it was a particularly nasty and agressive form called third wave. It's Terminal to it's victims I'm afraid. patient USA can't recover with typical methods. We need to get rid of the most aggressive symptoms of it first though known as Custody Courts, No fault divorce, Secularism, The Kardashians, Dr. Phil, Real House Wives, and of course Maury. One drug usually prescribed for these nauseating feelings is known as "Facts before feelings". It's mild for people with a rational brain but very harsh for people suffering high levels of emophites. This can cone from too much processed sugar, corn, flour, and soy consumption. But rest assured that with a steady diet of meat, plenty of sleep, exercise, and reruns of 300, The Patriot, and Scarface that patients can eventually shrink the number of emophites in the blood to allow their balls to finally, properly, drop.
Feminism indoctrination men through schools and universities, and the woke agenda to take over the world by making men (and women, I guess) weak. And really, it's only been happening since the 2000's. Maybe the late 90s, at the earliest.
But it's not hard to figure out what Ideological Subversion is: brainwash a generation, turn the young men into "male feminist" level pussies, and conquer. It can destroy America, and the entire rest f the world that mimics the US culture.
I have seen this problem in the west, and it's also there in some parts of the east but largely men understand that to be taken seriously they must dress in a masculine way to the best of their budget and bodies. The reason why this is happening in the west is because of increasing gynocentricism and increasing vilification of masculinity in the name of toxic masculinity.
Many would say that old schools Italian mobsters dressed like the man in the left, but do they also mention how dependable those guys were? They respected women, and their word. So masculinity is portrayed in a bad manner these days.
I don’t live in an area in which men dress like that. Subcultures have always existed, and men who dress like the one above are of rarity. I used to get on this kick of saying men have become weaker in modern society. While it might be true in some sense, I personally think people who focus on this are often over analytical. The law of attraction exists. If you’re a strong man, then you’ll attract other strong men and experience fellowship with them. I’m former military, and I’m a born-again Christian, so I have traditional views. Having said that, if men want to live their life like that, let them live their life. It doesn’t bother me like it used to. I just don’t care about other peoples lives.
If you claim to be a born -again Christian , why is it that your tolerating societies darkened views instead of up holding GODS commanded commandments that other men should obey? Not caring about others is'nt saving souls as you were commanded to do according to scripture.

When times are hard men are expected to act like men, and often have to out of necessity. When times are easy and they don't really need to, most people don't expect them to, and they just choose not to.
Many will blame feminism but feminism is bound to come about in easy times. When everything goes tits up nobody complains about toxic masculinity, and feminists suddenly want to be trad wives again.
I agree with your thoughts on social engineering. Some of it is due to government, particularly the CIA. The Democratic party embraces the agenda. But the ones behind it are unimaginably wealthy and powerful global elite eugenicists and technocrats who want to dominate humanity. You can't dominate humanity if billions of common men are strong.
I agree that books are a great source of information, but I disagree that you can't find incredibly illuminating info on the internet. Unfortunately, good books are not all that readily available, and the internet is increasingly censored. With both sources, you still have to be discerning. But the information is there.

Secondly the LGBT+ has definitely created significant changes in what is socially acceptable for men's style, fashion, attitude, and behavior. I mean imagine if that guy in the 1940s picture had painted his fingernails. He'd probably be jumped on his way to the bus.
Society changed. It has already happened in western countries, culture shifted towards more forgiving, accepting route. Oriental states and Eastern Europe manage better since the conditions are slightly harsher in terms of socities traditions etc.
No wars. There was vietnam, korea, iraq etc. But very few Americans/westerners actually died in comparison to the other countries. Millions of middle easterners and Asians have been killed by americans since ww2. Those cultures experienced an uptick in respect for men due to that.

Thanks to western influence the eastern countries are getting shittier day by day. Its bad in here even though the sexual revolution and feminism is in its early stage. Can't imagine what would happen when it reaches its peak.
