Wars are usually for the amusement, convenience, and enrichment of the richest assholes. There is rarely suffering on this planet that is NOT orchestrated or that cannot be easily prevented by the demons that set the situations up in the first place.

It is regrettable that ordinary people are being used as pawns in this war game. If I were a Ukrainian woman with young children, I would do what I had to do to get out of Poland, if my children and/or I was experiencing abuse there. It might involve bribing folks to get us out of Poland and at the U. S. Mexican border on May 23, 2022 to claim U. S. asylum.

If I were a Ukrainian man that was 18 to 60, I would, again, flee from the Ukraine to a country that was supportive of my situation. If I was not interested in leaving, I would stay and fight that stupid, pointless war and possibly lose my life.

Back in the 60s there was a draft in the US and many young men were drafted into military service. Many were sent to fight in Viet Nam and some came home in body bags. It is hard to imagine that scenario in this country today but if we end up in a war with Russia those days will come again. Is it wrong? Yes, people should not be compelled to risk their lives. But it will be necessary. I suppose the Ukrainians must do the same.

If we end up at war with Russia I would not be surprised if the government starts up the draft again. Only kids that are rich or connected will get a free pass. I imagine some will go to Canada again or try for some Conscientious Objector status but most will have no choice. This is what caused so much unrest in the 60s.
