so we can meet people from other backgrounds and enjoy their food and culture. enjoy the restaurants from other races. tho the races may not get along.

Melting pots are not good. They dilute all cultures until there's none left. Most restaurants are garbage and not authentic cuisine.

Most of the people in my country are mestizos, a mix between Spaniards and Indians, I don't think there is much difference.

It's just a media myth to cover up the colonial and systemic racial issues that are kicked into the long grass.
