Do you think the US would respond more or less vehemently to a PRC invasion of Taiwan than it did to Russia invading Ukraine?

Taiwan is significantly more important to US interests than Ukraine. I don't think that necessarily means that the US would immediately nuke China or even go to war with China over it, but it's far more likely than Ukraine would ever be.
It would be more likely if the US government especially the current administration and many American businesses weren't so deeply in bed with China as it is. From this standpoint, it would be much easier for the US to fight Russia. It's entirely possible and even likely that the US would actually stand down in the event of a Taiwan invasion as long as it could believe/be tricked into believing that it could continue trade with Taiwan's industries relatively quicker than an escalated war could. Ukraine has largely surprised the world with the fight it has put up, but Taiwan's only real advantage, which everyone knows about, is the fact they're an island nation, and therefore much more difficult to attack with the intent of conquest rather than annihilation.
I don't know. We are such a political state nowadays. We would have to see how the politics worked. At this point China, is the main enemy for some of our political groups. So we could respond very forcefully to an invasion of Taiwan. But if they were able to gain inroads like Russia has into our political infrastructure, we might change our tune.
I think our enemies know how to manipulate us now. And China has much more money than Russia.
I think it depends on who's president. Not a chance in hell would Trump take action against putin or Xi. No way. Biden might but it's not very likely he'd do so without a lot of pressure.
Would be a blood bath for China. Look how the Russians are doing

Being in the military I understand why these countries are and would invade these other countries.
One word: Resources.
From a strategic standpoint, taking over countries that have an abundance of a specific resource that your own country lacks would prove to be beneficial. Especially if you have a globalist mentality and want to be more powerful than your near peer threats
Don’t worry as it is coming. Putin and Xi had the phone ☎️ call 📞 already.
Putin: I want all the Baltic back. I’ll leave all of Asia to you…
Xi: 📱 . 👍
The US cannot afford any war. Hence why is profiting from the one in Ukraine. If China starts up then the US is finished as it cannot supply both while fighting either.
Taiwan has far more strategic value than Ukraine has, so yes, the USA would respond much more
We’re already there teaching Taiwanese to fight so I’d imagine the same,
Biden wouldn't do shit.
