Whether or not someone is a good person, is subjective to some degree.
Some of it is about personal values and beliefs. Just take the whole abortion debate. Or gun control, or the issue of whether or not gay people should have rights and so much more.
There's always a point of view and a stance you take and decide what a good person is and what isn't.
But yeah, often, a good person won't wave the flag that they are so, because their actions usually will show that.
So I guess my initial thought would be, thinking they might try to hide something, and/or think they might think they are, but that doesn't mean I would agree with them.
The bible says you are the salt of the earth and I believe you must always combine an element of sacrifice to your sense of self worth when you think or discuss yourself, cause people need an anchor or they will blow away.
I would be very suspicious.
Ideally a good person would not need to tell you that they are good.
in fact, it’s likely the last thing they would do.
Invariably they will just say they follow the Bible or some other religious document, as of course that makes people good 🙄
it’s what people do and how they deal with others no matter their gender, ethnicity, sexuality, religion, social standing, wealth, appearance, that tends to show if a person is good or not.
example from GaG, is someone a while back did say they were good, however they believe Gays should be shot etc,
I tend towards the side of B.
Like, it's find if you consider YOURSELF a good person, but to call yourself a "good person" to other people is a bit presumptive. Like, that's for them to decide, based on how you treat them.
It reminds me of Drax. "I, too, am EXTRAORINARILY humble."

Being good is not a title you apply to yourself, it’s a title you’re appointed by others through your actions as a person.
So to me when I hear someone say “
I’m a good man !! “ or “ I’m a good woman”, without context, it seems like a sign of narcissism to me till proven otherwise
That they want somthing. It doesn't matter if it's True or not, a lot of times they are, what matters is the intent. You don't claim to be good or trustworthy or somthing like that unless you're trying to gain favor. Either that person wants a loan or some benefit that comes with friendship.
Hmm I’d be in the fence till I have reasonable doubt— but def on the side of suspecting not good. Show it don’t broadcast it 🔈 👀👀
i wouldn't think they're a bad person, just would come off as a bit of a show-off.
B. I believe in actions, not words. It's like someone saying they are always happy. That's bs, I won't trust you
They want to be judged for their excuses not for their actions.
Same as if they told me they were a very stable genius or the most honest or least racist person in the world. I'd not believe them.
‘Okay, but shouldn’t I be able to see that for myself already?’
If someone is a good person then they wouldn’t lie.
They have to prove that statement.
they are good people until they aren't:)
Don't say it... show it. Talk is cheap.
I'd prefer to make my own judgement
I'd be suspicious.
