Why does the Native Americans think they are cowards?

Sports teams that name braves or Brave but it seems that Native Americans are afraid of becalled Braves.

It's an off putting, easy to use marketing stereotype. My experience growing up around a village was a lot of god fearing Christian older folk, people struggling with substance abuse on various levels some positive but more needed help. Bravery isn't a bad thing but isn't possible without a strong support, and a support structure has been the greatest struggle for the longest time.

A "brave" individual was never highlighted in our culture. Everything revolves around a group effort. "It takes a village to raise a child" is more descriptive of native American culture. So the "brave" as a singular mascot pulling it self from the bootstrap is not accurate to native American people. It's just weird.
