My unkle was adopted like that In the lower 48. Then my mother a year later was born raised by her grandparents in Alaska. My mother's father was military dipped out. With as much steel workers on the trans alaskan pipeline and military growth during the cold war it was pretty common.

It's pretty hard to process how short of a time the civil rights movement was compared to today.

I do think the USA land was stolen from the native Americans but I’m so sick of people blaming current day living white people for this.
The white people from 300-400 years ago was responsible.

They were killed en masse, and those that survived were told they weren’t allowed to have their religion or language, and then they kept displacing them more and more until they made up less than 1% of the total American population.
